Research On Social Responsibility Of State-owned Commercial Banks

Financial state-owned enterprises have some particularity compared with other types of enterprises,and fulfilling social responsibility has a vital influence on the daily operation and development of such enterprises,especially for state-owned commercial banks.At this stage,state-owned commercial banks should pay more attention to the implementation of social responsibility while paying attention to the profit and income,and deal with the relationship between the two scientifically,which is an obligation that the state-owned commercial bank must fulfill,and it is also an important part of government departments to perform the public service function.At present,the research on social responsibility of state-owned commercial banks in China is still in the exploratory stage.Although the large-scale state-owned commercial banks can regularly issue corresponding reports on the implementation of social responsibility,there are still some problems,such as insufficient attention to the implementation of social responsibility,and the lack of sound relevant working mechanisms,which need to be solved urgently.This paper analyzes the achievements of some large state-owned commercial banks represented by S Bank,in fulfilling their social responsibilities,and summarizes the theory related to social responsibility,including stakeholder theory and new public management theory,which lay a solid foundation for this paper.At the same time,this paper analyzes several kinds of social responsibility that state-owned commercial banks should fulfill,how state-owned commercial banks fulfill their social responsibility,and how does the government supervise state-owned commercial banks fulfill their social responsibility.Finally,some suggestions are made in the hope of helping state-owned commercial banks to better fulfill their social responsibilities,so as to better help our state-owned commercial banks build a complete system of social responsibility implementation.Forming a long-term working mechanism.
