With the rapid development of new Internet technologies and services,such as mobile Internet,cloud computing and big data,content distribution network(CDN),as an important means to alleviate Internet congestion,improve the response speed of Internet services and improve the user's business experience,has become an indispensable part of Internet infrastructure.With the explosive growth of video applications,e-commerce and online games,the CDN industry has entered a high-speed development track and the market scale has been expanding.After 5g commercial use in 2019,the consumption of traffic in the whole society will increase dramatically,and the domestic demand for CDN services will increase dramatically in the next few years.On December 12,2016,China's CDN industry officially entered the era of licensing.With the rise of the CDN market and the state's strong support and development of CDN services,more and more enterprises have or will join the competition in the CDN market.Telecom operators use pipeline advantages to enter;Considering business application,network performance,cost and other factors,Internet cloud computing services such as aliyun and tencent cloud began to actively build their own CDN services.Many customers of traditional CDN service providers began to join the CDN market and turned into competitors,which greatly affected the operation of traditional CDN service providers including W company.W company is a professional CDN service provider,providing CDN,cloud computing and cloud security and other rich products and services.In the future when the market competition becomes increasingly fierce,the environment changes dramatically and the performance of the enterprise declines,company W should make timely responses and formulate appropriate competitive strategies.In this paper,W company is taken as a case,applying various theories and research methods such as literature research,case study,logic analysis,Porter's five forces model,PEST analysis,SWOT analysis,etc.,starting from the macro environment,internal and external trends of the enterprise and the overall industry environment,how to use "edge computing" and other services to compete for W company's CDN service in the context of cloud computing and 5g business Through the comparative analysis of advantages and disadvantages between the company and its competitors,the company will give full play to its advantages in technology accumulation,deployment scale and customer resources.In view of its weakness compared with Internet enterprises,the company will enhance the service ability of traditional business acceleration by strengthening the combination with cloud services,giving full play to its advantages in network bandwidth and node resources,Provide services for small and medium-sized enterprises and formulate differentiated competitive strategies.In this case,W company is a representative company in the industry,and the enterprise strategy formulated for W company also has certain applicability.CDN can provide some guidance and management ideas for the same type of enterprises in the market.
