With the continuous promotion of new urbanization, the income of farmers in China has continued to grow. The difference between the new urbanization and the traditional urbanization lies in that the new urbanization focuses on people-oriented core, and effectively protects the interests of farmers.Although in the process of new urbanization, farmers' income continues to increase. But there is still a certain gap between urban and rural residents' income.According to the different situation of new urbanization and farmers' income, each region should take different measures to promote the process of new urbanization to achieve rapid growth of farmers' income. So how to accurately grasp the current situation of new urbanization and farmers' income in various regions of China? Which areas have similar situation of new urbanization and farmers' income? How to investigate the impact of new urbanization on farmers' income and how about the effect? What effective measures should be taken to promote new urbanization and increase farmers' income in different kinds of regions? This paper makes a systematic study on these problems. In order to find out the current situation of farmers' income and the quality of new urbanization development in China, this paper analyzes the current scale of farmers' income based on relevant data, and uses Moran's I index to analyze the spatial aggregation of farmers' income in various provinces and cities. After the establishment of the new urbanization development quality evaluation index system, the entropy method is used to evaluate the current situation of the new urbanization development quality in China. In order to cluster the areas with similar urbanization and farmers' income status, this paper uses K-means clustering algorithm to divide 30 provinces and cities into 5 categories. In order to analyze the impact of new urbanization on farmers' income, this paper takes population urbanization rate, land urbanization rate, economic urbanization rate and employment urbanization rate as independent variables, agricultural economic level, rural capital investment,opening-up degree, industrialization rate and financial support for agriculture as control variables to estimate the parameters through Spatial Dubin Model(SDM).The results show that: The income of farmers in China has nearly tripled from2009 to 2018,and the western region of China has the fastest growth rate.In terms of space, farmers' income has spatial correlation, which is manifested in LL aggregation and HH aggregation. At present, the overall quality of new urbanization in China is characterized by high quality in the east and north of China, low quality in the west and south of China. The top five provinces and cities with the most outstanding development quality are Beijing,Jiangsu,Zhejiang,Shandong and Shanghai.Clustering results show that the first category(class A)includes Hainan and Jilin;the second category(class B)includes Shanxi,Shaanxi,Xinjiang,Sichuan,Guangxi,Heilongjiang,Qinghai,Gansu,Guizhou and Yunnan;the third category(class C)includes Hebei,Hubei,Anhui,Hunan,Henan,Liaoning,Fujian,Inner Mongolia,Ningxia,Chongqing,Guangdong and Jiangxi;the fourth category(class D)includes Jiangsu,Shandong and Tianjin;the fifth category(class E)includes Beijing,Zhejiang and Shanghai. From the perspective of the quality of new urbanization, the cities of class D and E are the highest, followed by class C,class B and class A are the lowest. From the perspective of farmers' income level, class E is the highest, followed by class D,class A and class C,and class B is the lowest.Through spatial metrology, the results show that agricultural economy, rural capital investment, the degree of opening to the outside world and the rate of industrialization have a significant positive direct effect on farmers' income, and rural capital investment has a significant positive indirect effect on farmers' income;new urbanization has a significant positive direct effect on farmers' income through population urbanization, land urbanization and economic urbanization, and has a significant negative indirect effect on farmers' income through economic urbanization. The new urbanization mainly produces the direct effect on the income of farmers through population urbanization. Finally, according to the analysis results,This paper not only puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions to promote the development of new urbanization to accelerate the increase of farmers' income from the perspective of the whole country, but also puts forward the applicable differential countermeasures and suggestions for different types of provinces and cities.
