| Innovation is the key factor to promote high-quality and stable economic development,accelerate the transformation of new and old driving forces,and enhance the comprehensive national strength.In recent years,the state attaches great importance to innovation and development,emphasizing that scientific and technological innovation should be emphasized in all fields.It is not only in response to the call of the government that enterprises promote R&D actively and further deepen the national innovation-driven development strategy,but also to create possibilities for breaking through the bottleneck of their own development.Therefore,if enterprises want to achieve sustainable and healthy development in the increasingly competitive market environment,they must conform to the current situation,attach great importance to enterprise R&D innovation,stimulate enterprise R&D innovation vitality,enhance enterprise sustainable competitive advantage and enhance enterprise R&D innovation ability.The top managers have the great management power and decision-making power,which has a vital impact on the enterprise R&D innovation.Technical executives have a professional knowledge system and technical capabilities,and also have a certain degree of management decision-making power,which will have a more significant impact on enterprise R&D innovation.According to the Upper Echelon Theory and the Institutional Logic Theory,the decision-making of top managers will be influenced by the internal institutional environment of enterprises.Therefore,the institutional logic of enterprises will have more or less influence on the relationship between technical executives executives and enterprise R&D innovation.When different logic tends to act on top management,what kind of impact on enterprise R & D and innovation is a question worth exploring.The discussion of this issue will further enrich the relevant research from the perspective of institutional logic,and provide some reference for enterprises to further carry out innovative development planning.This study explores in detail the impact of technical executives on enterprise R&D innovation,and examines the impact of different institutional logic tendencies on the relationship between technical executives and enterprise R&D innovation.This paper selects the data of listed manufacturing companies in China from 2012 to 2017 as theresearch sample,the reason for choosing manufacturing industry is that compared with other industries,the performance of technological innovation of manufacturing enterprises is more prominent,and the availability of sample data is relatively good.Furthermore,this paper examines the impact of technical executives on enterprise innovation input and output,and empirically examines the impact of enterprises market logic and non-market logic on the relationship between technical executives and enterprise innovation input and output.The results show that technical executives have a significant positive impact on enterprise innovation input and output;Enterprise market logic has a positive moderating effect on the relationship between technical executives and enterprise innovation input and output;Enterprise non-market logic has a negative moderating effect on the relationship between technical executives and enterprise innovation output,but has no significant effect on the relationship between technical executives and enterprise innovation input.The conclusion of study not only enrich the relevant content of technical executives,institutional logic and enterprise R & D innovation,but also provides empirical evidence for manufacturing enterprises to further build corporate governance mechanism that support R & D innovation. |
