The hotel industry is one of the most important components of China's service industry,which starts Opening-up early and is mostly market-directed.The significant increase in national consumption capacity,the continuous expansion of market demand,and the continuous input of high-tech technology have injected new vitality into the development of China's hotel industry.However,with the development of China's economy and society,many international hotel brands have stepped into the domestic market.Meanwhile,new models in this industry such as express hotels,hotel chains,and Bed & Breakfast have continued to emerge,which has brought a greater impact on the original operation mode of the hotel industry.In particular,some hotels,which were originally affiliated with the government or state-owned enterprises and institutions,were more affected.Although most of these hotels have gone through the restructuring during the reform of the state-owned economic system,they still maintain close ties with relevant governments,stated-owned enterprises and institutions,and their main income is more dependent on the governmental reception of those entities.In recent years,with the resolute measures of China's central government's to flight with corruption and misuse of power,governmental receptions have reduced significantly,which on the other side has shown impact on such hotels.At the same time,changes in the external environment have put forward new requirements for hotel industry.G Hotel is an affiliated hotel of a state-owned enterprise in China.In recent years,due to changes in the external environment and fierce competition,its revenue has declined year by year and its development has been slowed down.Therefore,how to deal with peer competition effectively is the primary issue of G Hotel's strategic management.The author of this article,as a hotel manager with many years of experience in this industry,has long been concerned about hotel operation and development issues.With her own experience,applying the theory of hotel competition strategy,the author analyzes the external competition environment and internal competition conditions of G Hotel.On the theoretical basis of PEST analysis,Porter's Five Forces model,SWOT analysis andliterature research methods,this thesis conducts research on the main problems in the operation of G Hotel.As the result,Put forward the plan of G hotel competition strategy,and then formulate and apply guarantee measures from the perspective of internal management,governance structure,marketing,financial management,and corporate culture.Finally,this article summarizes the research to present conclusions.At the same time,the article analyzes the deficiencies and problems in this research,and points out the direction for further research.
