The global market today is rapidly growing and therefore,insurance companies are striving to grow for them to be equally competitive in the contemporary world by through planned activities.Among the activities to be undertaken are the induction training and development programs.This study sought to assess the effectiveness of induction training and development on employee performance in Life Insurance Company in Nepal.The study purposes at founding the existence and goals of induction training programs,to discover out the effects of induction training and development on employee performance,to find out the challenge of conducting these programs and lastly to explore the strategies of enhancing induction programs.The study targeted 200 employees.The data collected was analyzed and presented in frequency distribution percentages,tables,and graphs.The outcomes of the research were used as the basis of recommendation.This study is significant to Life Insurance Company in Nepal and any other organization that may wish to use it in policy and decision making.The collected primary data were analyzed using SPSS software.The results obtained from the analysis were quite instrumental in supporting the fact that induction training is quite essential when it comes to the improvement of the performance of the employees.Based on the findings of the study,many respondents agreed that induction training is one way through which the productivity of an employee can be improved.Therefore,the study concluded by recommending that induction training should be adopted in the insurance companies in Nepal in particular and other business organizations in general.
