In the era of new economy, human resource is crucial to corporate development. Consequently, human resource management is the key point to corporate management. As a part of human resource management, training is a significant measure to foster talents, deploy and plan human resource for the corporate. It facilitates the corporate to achieve its goal by improving employees'knowledge, skill and capability. Induction training is a good way to improve the identity sense and preliminary socialization of new employees, so as to increase the retention rate. On the other hand, effective induction training enables the corporate to spread its value and key concept, to enhance both the employee's individual and corporate's overall competitiveness. The study on the effect of induction training indicates that how to better the effect attaches great importance. Therefore, more and more domestic offshore oil and gas companies are paying more and more attention to the induction training. However, the effect of current corporate induction training is far from satisfaction and the causes are diversified. Key factor must be determined prior to formulating the improvement strategy to maximize the effect. Study on how to improve the induction training effect has great significance both in theory and practice.This thesis analyzed the ineffectiveness of induction training, inefficiency and low retention rate of new employees and indicated the necessity of improvement. The author investigated the current situation, analyzed the causes and concluded effective measures to evade the problems above. COAST Five Dimension Induction Training Model was proposed on the basis of five measurement dimensions of induction training. Moreover, the author set the training content and goal, assessment system and standard, meaning and purpose of training.Finally, the author demonstrated the effect and defect and proposed related suggestion through empirical analysis to practice of COAST Model. |
