Research On Poverty Governance Of Ethnic Minorities In Laos

In 2015,Laos began to enter the ranks of developing countries from less developed countries,and poverty control has achieved a series of phased results.However,poverty remains a serious problem in many parts of the country,especially in the mountainous areas inhabited by ethnic minorities in the north,where the living standards of the population still need to be improved,and much work remains to be done to consolidate the achievements of poverty eradication and to achieve stable poverty eradication.Based on the achievements of the theory of poverty control at home and abroad,this study,through the field investigation of Yao villages in Muangsing County,Namtha Province,Laos,has a detailed understanding of their basic situation in the aspects of customs and habits,ethnic migration,occupation,education,medical treatment,transportation.This paper summarizes the outstanding problems of poverty alleviation in minority areas,discusses the relationship between the factors of livelihood mode,population migration,education level and poverty,analyzes and expounds the historical causes and practical difficulties of Yao poverty in Muangsing County,Namtha Province of Laos,and then countermeasures and suggestions for the region to consolidate poverty relief and further escape poverty.Among them,the trade interaction between the region and China can not be ignored,and this study is based on the actual situation of the Lao ethnic minorities,and expounds the work has far-reaching implications for the productive life of the Lao ethnic minority population between the China and Laos cooperation.Through this study,we hope to achieve some of the following research objectives.The first is to improve the understanding and application of the theory of poverty and anti-poverty through the research of the Yao minority in Laos;the second is to have a preliminary understanding of the current situation and problems of Yao governance in Namtha province of Laos through field research,with a view to putting forward some effective countermeasures for the local government and people to refer to.
