With the development of Internet technology,cross-border e-commerce came into the public's view when China's foreign trade growth was sluggish.Since this new trading method has improved fast,it acts like a new engine to drive China's foreign trade economy. As a relatively new trade mode,cross-border e-commerce has a huge potential in China.More and more enterprises involve in the cross-border e-commerce industry chain, start to engage in cross-border e-commerce business, and get benefit from it.However, the development of China's cross-border e-commerce industry is not complete, and the performance level of enterprises engaged in cross-border e-commerce is still restricted by a variety of factors. In fact, the cross-border e-commerce industry is increasingly competitive. How to understand the environment of cross-border e-commerce operating, and how to improve their disadvantages and competitiveness are all challenges faced by cross-border e-commerce enterprises. However, there are few studies on cross-border e-commerce enterprises in the academic circle, and most of them are qualitative studies and theoretical analysis. Moreover, there are nearly no quantitative researches on the performance of cross-border e-commerce export enterprises. This paper takes the cross-border e-commerce export enterprises as the study subject, conducts simulation analysis on the performance of cross-border e-commerce export enterprises through relevant theories and system dynamics, and puts forward strategic suggestions to promote the performance of cross-border e-commerce export enterprises from the perspectives of enterprises and the government. The main contents of this study include:(1)Analyzed the elements of the performance of cross-border e-commerce enterprises.Based on technical innovation theory, supply chain theory, enterprise competitiveness theory,TOE framework and relevant literature analysis, summarized influencing factors and influencing mechanism of cross-border e-commerce enterprise performance;(2)Conducted a system dynamics simulation model for the performance of cross-border e-commerce enterprises, regarded AUKEY as a study case, set the variable equations, and tested the effectiveness of the model;(3)Observed the impact of changes in enterprise decision-making,government decision-making and market environment on the performance of cross-border e-commerce enterprises, and proposed strategies and suggestions to promote the performance of cross-border e-commerce enterprises from the perspectives of enterprises and governments. The results show that:(1)The factors affecting the performance of cross-border e-commerce enterprises can be roughly divided into five aspects: the enterprise's technological innovation ability, the enterprise's internal operation ability, the enterprise's supply chain reliability, the enterprise's competitiveness and the government's support;(2)The trend of enterprise performance showed a rapid growth in the early stage and a slow growth in the later stage;(3)Policy support and market risk have the greatest impact on enterprise performance;(4)If the enterprise's R&D investment, supply chain investment and marketing investment decisions change at the same rate, the consequences of influence on enterprise performance are similar.
