China’s economy has entered a critical stage in the transition period.The rapid development of advanced manufacturing technology has become the source of technological innovation and access to international competitive advantage for all countries in the world.However,the current dilemma faced by China’s manufacturing industry is that the capacity for independent innovation is still insufficient.One of the important reasons is that the supply of generic technology is obviously insufficient.Therefore,in order to effectively solve the wooden barrel effect of China’s manufacturing independent innovation,it is of positive significance to promote the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry by studying the generic technology innovation and participating in the main behaviors of all parties and improving the common technological innovation efficiency of manufacturing.The thesis studies the generic technology innovation of China’s manufacturing industry from both theoretical and empirical aspects.Firstly,based on th e perspective of evolutionary game theory,this paper studies the enterprises’ generic technology innovation decision-making efficiency in different contexts and concludes that if enterprises are well matched in strength in the market.,the cost of information search and the profit of generic technology innovation are the important factors affecting the efficiency of generic technology innovation.When the strength of enterprises differs greatly,the efficiency of generic technology innovation driven only by the leading enterprises in the industry is not good,but with the support of the government,the generic technology innovation mechanism will develop steadily.Secondly,The thesis uses the 2003-2014 Derwent patent database to describe the generic technology fields of manufacturing,and calculate three different generic technology innovation efficiency of 30 provinces according to the super-efficiency DEA model.The generic technology innovation efficiency finds that in the eastern region is high,while the innovation ability in the central and western region is weak,but the western region is catching up obviously.Finally,we use the Tobit model,random effects model and fixed effect model to empirically test the influencing factors of generic technology.The research results show that the economic development level,government support,marketization and regional R&D have positive impact on the efficiency of common technology innovation,while the technology external communication has not significantly affected the generic technology in various regions.The influence of these factors on the efficiency of generic technology is heterogeneous in region.Combined with the research conclusions,the last part of this paper puts forward three recommendations for promoting generic technology so that promoting the high-quality development of manufacturing.
