The Impact Of Service Trade Liberalization On The Export Sophistication In China's Manufacturing Enterprises

In China,the sustained and rapid development of export scale has played an important role in promoting economic growth and providing jobs,but the development of the manufacturing industry is characterized by “big but not strong”,international competitiveness and international status are not high.In recent years,in the process of opening to the outside world,the service industry has absorbed and integrated advanced key technologies and excellent management experience,brought new driving factors to the development of the manufacturing industry,and brought hope to the improvement of the technical level and international influence.In this context,this paper explores whether service trade liberalization can improve the international competitiveness of China's manufacturing industry,and provides favorable Suggestions on how to drive the upgrading of export sophistication of manufacturing industry.This paper sorts out relevant literatures at home and abroad,and sorts out the domestic and foreign scholar's methods of measuring the degree of service trade liberalization and the export sophistication.From the two aspects of specialization effect and technology import effect,the paper analyzes the possible paths of service trade liberalization enhancing the export sophistication.By referring to and improving the measurement method in the literature review,this paper measures the level of service trade liberalization in China and the level of export sophistication of manufacturing enterprises,and explores the dynamic development of China's manufacturing export competitiveness and the background of international economic operation.In the paper,the empirical conclusions show that the service trade liberalization has significantly increased the export sophistication of Chinese manufacturing enterprises,and this positive impact has industry heterogeneity.The trade service liberalization has significantly increased the level of export sophistication of general trade enterprises,processing trade enterprises,eastern enterprises and foreign enterprises,but the promotion effect is not significant for Midwest enterprises and local enterprises.Management level,financing capacity and technological innovation are the core elements of the development of manufacturing enterprises.As the influence channel,there is a significant positive relationship with the improvement of export sophistication of manufacturing enterprises.In this paper,robustness test are carried out.After using other regression estimation techniques to deal with potential endogenous problems,the effect of service trade liberalization on the export sophistication of manufacturing enterprises is still robust.Finally,three policy suggestions are put forward after summarizing and analyzing the empirical research conclusions.First,advance the liberalization of trade in services in an orderly manner.Second,open China's service trade wider to the outside world at multiple levels and in all directions.Third,encourage enterprise innovation and strengthen financial support.
