The development of informatization, especially the widespread application of Internet technology, has gradually broken the isolated development of regional spatial units. On the one hand, the production factors of the region itself act on the local economic development,on the other hand, they gradually exert osmotic effects on the adjacent regions. The traditional geospatial space is continuously transformed under the influence of informatization, which makes the development of inter-regional relations closer, thus promoting the regional social and economic development. As a typical information-intensive industry, tourism can use information technology to reduce the cost of knowledge diffusion and encourage tourism innovation activities. As tourism innovation is an important part of national innovation system, the widespread application of information technology in tourism industry will undoubtedly have a profound impact on tourism innovation. With the implementation of the strategy of “Smart Tourism” and “13th Five-Year Plan for Tourism Informatization”,the tourism development pattern also presents new economic and geographical features. The spatial effect of informatization on Tourism Innovation will optimize the spatial layout of regional Tourism Innovation and promote the structural upgrading of tourism development. Therefore,it is of great significance to analyze the relationship between informatization and tourism innovation from the perspective of spatial correlation. At present, research on the Tourism Innovation is mostly carried out from the microenterprise perspective, such as the application of information technology in tourism and less from the macro-regional perspective. Most of the research results are mainly based on case studies.Domestic and foreign scholars seldom study the spatial effect of informatization on tourism innovation from the perspective of spatial correlation.Based on the existing Tourism Innovation evaluation results, this paper constructs a comprehensive evaluation index system of Tourism Innovation at the provincial level in mainland China, and uses factor analysis to evaluate Tourism Innovation in 31 provinces and autonomous regions from 2000 to 2016,and analyzes its regional difference.Under the background of spatial factors, this paper uses exploratory spatial data analysis to study the spatial distribution, aggregation mode and timespace evolution of provincial tourism innovation, and finally the spatial panel model is used to explore the spatial effects of informatization and other influencing factors on Tourism Innovation in the three major regions of mainland China. The research results show that the overall level of Tourism Innovation in the country is low and the regional space development is unbalanced.Totally,it shows a “mountain” font space pattern that is higher in the east, lower in the northeast and southwest, more sunken in the interval part.Overall, the spatial characteristics of Tourism Innovation in economically developed regions are very significant. It is worth noting that Guangdong has always been located in a high and low concentration area surrounded by low values, and it has not fully reflected the role of Tourism Innovation in the surrounding areas. The results of spatial econometric model estimation based on different regions show that informatization, urbanization and tourism specialization have positive spillover characteristics for Tourism Innovation, while marketization shows negative spillover, and spatial effects also show regional differences.
