Diagnosis And Improvement Of Supply Management In The "R&R" Trading Company In Guyana

In the present research,a diagnosis is made and improvements are proposed to the supply management in the R&R Trading Company,leading in the commercialization of products nationally and offering its customers products with the right quality and demands.For this,procedures are applied which were adapted from different authors to the specific characteristics of the company under study.The research is originated by the existing situation with the subsystem of supplies in the company which does not guarantee the needs of materials and thus causes failure to deliver orders in terms of quantity and time to their customers.The main tools used in the framework of this research are: the Expert Method,Saaty AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process)Method,Questionnaire,Cause-Effect Diagram(Ishikawa)and the Selective Inventory Control Method(ABC).All this investigation allowed the obtaining of results for this research: the diagnostic and improvement procedure for the company,the main problems that affect the current situation and development plans that will contribute to the elimination of the causes of the problems detected.The application of the Kendall Concordance Coefficient helps to detect the key problems to be solved.In this case the main problem is related to the defined inventory system,once this problem is solved the company will manage to compete and have a better position in the market.The application of the ABC method is a procedure that allows establishing a multiple product classification based on a certain criterion(s)as its name indicates,classifies on the basis of 3 groups A-B-C.Its use showed the groups of products with the greatest impact for each sector according to the level of sales in(GYD)Guyana Dollars.With the application of the procedure for the supply management in the R&R Trading Company,it was possible to diagnose the current status and identify the existing problems and proposing solutions that contributed to improve the level of customer satisfaction.
