In 1999,the ILO proposed the concept of decent work for the first time at the International Labour Conference in order to solve the problems of employment in the context of economic globalization.Since then,all countries have worked tirelessly to realize decent work.In October 2017,General Secretary Xi Jinping proposed to take full employment and high quality employment as an important measure to improve people's livelihood,coordinate the consultation mechanism among various organizations and departments of the society,create a harmonious employment relationship,and optimize the employment environment.During the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,employees' desire for a better life was further served as the new historic mission,which further promoted the level of decent work in our country and created a comfortable working and overall developing atmosphere for the whole society.In 2015,the new economic model emphasizing sharing quickly expanded globally.The sharing economy platform companies represented by Didi and Uber has dramatically changed people's lifestyles,and a large number of new professional group has emerged in the society-the internet chauffeured car drivers.Due to flexible working hours,free autonomy,etc.,it is different from the job characteristics of traditional occupations.Now it has become the best choice for many freelancers and solve the employment problem in China to a large extent.However,the emergence of new economic models and occupational group has been accompanied by a series of social problems.The legitimacy of the internet chauffeured car drivers was questioned,competition between the internet chauffeured cars and the taxi never came to an end,and negative news and reports about the internet chauffeured car drivers appeared one after another.In particular,since the implementation of new policies,the vast majority of the internet chauffeured car drivers have indicated that they would like to continue their work,and only by staying behind,will they be more decent.Faced with the customers' incomprehension and disrespect,etc.,the internet chauffeured car drivers focus on how to work decently.At the same time,its social legitimacy,labor relations and other issues reflect the decentness of the work of the group from different levels.In this context,how to adopt scientific measures to measure the decent work perception of the internet chauffeured car drivers? What is the effect of decent work perception on job engagement? These are the problems that this article will solve.After sorting out the relevant research results,this article refers to the theory of self-determination as the theoretical basis,the internet chauffeured car drivers as the interviewees,and combines with the grounded theories and the coding technology,developing four dimensional decent labor perception scale of the internet chauffeured car drivers including rights protection,respect and recognition,health and comfort,and autonomy and freedom.Subsequently,the article selected representative internet chauffeured car platform companies such as Didi and Caocao to collect data through self-reported surveys and collected a total of 214 valid questionnaires for reliability and validity testing,confirmatory factor analysis,correlation analysis and regression.It was found with the analysis that the decent labor perception of internet chauffeured car drivers has a significant impact on job engagement,internal motivation plays an intermediary role between decent labor perception and job engagement,and internal and external control personality traits play a regulatory role between decent labor perception and job engagement.It is recommended that the government shall clarifies its legal status,establishes and improves the security system,and that internet chauffeured car platform companies should comprehensively strengthen the drivers' rights and interests,and that the internet chauffeured car drivers should improve their service awareness and professionalism,to comprehensively improve the decent labor level of the group.The innovation of this paper lies in: first of all,there are still many areas in which decent work can be exploited domestically.There is a need for more empirical research to enrich scholars' understanding of decent labor.The development of the internet chauffeured car driver decent labor perception scales does not only provide new measurement tools,but also further expand the scope of decent labor research.Secondly,based on self-determination theory,a theoretical model of decent labor perception mechanism was constructed,and its positive impact on job engagement,as well as the mediating role of internal motivation between the two,and the regulatory role of internal and external control personality traits were concluded,laying the theoretical foundation for subsequent researches.However,there are still some deficiencies in this article: first,the actual investigation process will be affected by platforms,regions,etc.Second,since the education level of the internet chauffeured car drivers is generally low,the self-reported survey method still can not guarantee the understanding level of interviewees to the question items;finally,it is still a question to be explored for whether the research results of the scale development and mechanism are applicable to other sharing economy platform company employees.
