Research On Open Economy Development Of Henan Province Based On The Construction Of Free Trade Zone

China has taken “Opening-up” as a fundamental national police since its economy reform over the past 40 years.Due to geographical advantages,the eastern coastal provinces in China have benefited and enjoyed the dividends of the reform and kept fast economy growth,while the central and western inland regions have been lagging behind relatively,the increasing developmental disparities threaten the overall economic efficiency and social equality of the country.Henan province is particularly important in this context,it has specific geographic advantages and can act as the secondary growth pole when the eastern region interacts with surrounding areas and spreads prosperity from the core to the periphery.Studying on its opening up level and facilitate its economy growth has significant importance for both balancing development between different regions and national sustainable development.This thesis summarized the theories and empirical studies of open economy,and studied the current situation of provincial open economy development in Henan through data collecting and analyzing,then a four-dimension evaluation index system including foundation,scale,structure and benefit was established,an empirical study on development level of open economy and hierarchical clustering analysis of the seventeen cities in Henan Province was carried on.The results show that:(1)the development level of open economy in 17 cities of Henan Province from 2007 to 2017 was uneven and irregular,the rank in 2017 was Zhengzhou,Luoyang,Xinxiang,Nanyang,Zhumadian,Jiaozuo,Sanmenxia,Anyang,Xuchang,Pingdingshan,Zhoukou,Luohe,Xinyang,Puyang,Hebi,Kaifeng,and Shangqiu.(2)these 17 cities can be classified to 4 types under hierarchical clustering analysis,there is only one city,Zhengzhou belongs to the first level,there are 7 cities including Luoyang,Sanmenxia,Pingdingshan,Anyang,Xinxiang,Zhumadian,and Nanyang to the second,only Jiaozuo and Xuchang belong to the third,and Hebi,Shangqiu,Kaifeng,Luohe,Puyang,Zhoukou,and Xinxiang belong to the fourth.Finally,the thesis proposes to use the free trade zone as a starting point to improve the foreign investment environment,promote institutional innovation,upgrade the industrial structure,and attract foreign investment as countermeasures for the three open-level urban agglomerations,it provides reference for the development of Henan's open economy.
