Research On The Integration Of Small And Medium Size Cross-Border E-Commerce Supply Chains From The Perspective Of Network Embeddedness

The rapid development of Internet information technology has given birth to a new trade model,cross-border e-commerce.Compared with developed countries,China's involvement in the field of e-commerce is relatively late,but it has caught up quickly.In recent years,due to the improvement of the e-commerce environment,the "digital dividend" brought by the development of China's Internet has promoted the level of national disposable income year by year.As the result,the scale of China's cross-border e-commerce transactions has grown exponentially.On the other hand,the state attaches great importance to the new format of trade development and has issued related favorable policies to promote the rapid development of the cross-border e-commerce industry.Therefore,compared with the weak state of traditional trade development,cross-border e-commerce is gradually becoming a strong impetus to promote the new pattern of China's trade opening up.However,many problems were exposed during the rapid development of cross-border e-commerce gradually,including serious product homogeneity,time-consuming customs clearance,low supply chain service level,and insufficient logistics support capabilities.Among those problems,the supply chain management issue is the core challenge facing by cross-border e-commerce industries.The traditional trade supply chain model has been difficult to apply to the development of new cross-border e-commerce industries.The characteristics of personalized customer demand,fragmented orders,and fragmentation have put forward higher requirements for cross-border e-commerce supply chain management.The interfering mode has gradually shifted from product-based cost and quality competition to supply chain service capability competition.Therefore,this article focuses on small and medium-sized cross-border e-commerce companies,and studies the optimization of supply chain integration.The global characteristics of the Internet have transformed the supply chain from a traditional one-to-one and one-way simple network into a many-to-many and two-way complex network.For the supply chain of cross-border e-commerce companies,it emphasized the interaction and cooperation between the subjects based on information technology and involves a high degree of information sharing,joint action and interdependence.Therefore,this article uses a combination of theoretical analysis and empirical research to build a theoretical model and combine practical survey data to analyze the cross-border e-commerce supply chain integration from the background of enterprise's network embeddedness.Then throw out the countermeasures and suggestions for optimization and integration of supply chain.Specifically,this article first reviews the existing related research and defines the connotation of cross-border e-commerce enterprise network embeddedness and supply chain integration.Secondly,on the basis of comprehensive theoretical analysis and relevant research,the theoretical hypothesis of the relationship between network embedding and supply chain integration is proposed,a theoretical model is constructed,and a questionnaire is designed based on existing and mature research results.At the end,validity test and confirmatory factor analysis are done.In addition,in order to further explore the rationality of the theoretical model of the article,this article conducts a sub-sample test based on the characteristics of enterprise heterogeneity to provide reference for enterprises of different development periods and different sizes.Finally,based on the empirical results of this article,we draw conclusions as following:(1)Cross-border e-commerce companies have an intermediary role in the supply chain and can greatly affect the establishment of relationships between enterprises;(2)Structure embeddedness and relationship embeddedness have positive effects on the integration of information in the supply chain;(3)Information integration is the premise of logistics integration.The efficiency of logistics integration depends on the efficiency of information technology collaboration and the efficiency of information sharing between supply chain entities.(4)The supply chain performance is affected by the efficiency of logistics integration,and the further of logistics integration is,the greater the supply chain performance is realized.
