The progress of information technology and the development of global economy promote the overall upgrading of industrial value chain.While the traditional value chain continues to deconstruct,optimize and restructure,different value chains are connected in the horizontal direction,which makes the network characteristics of value structure more prominent.Therefore,as a new form of industrial organization,value network has emerged and made great progress.In order to adapt to the trend of systematic,networked and ecological industrial development,enterprises embed the value network in the form of a single module or a combination of modules,occupy a certain value link or network node by their own competitive advantage,and participate in the division of value network.The value network provides "overall solutions" for customers' needs through coordinating and integrating the value activities of all links and nodes in the system.In essence,value network is a value symbiosis system of resource sharing,value creation,risk sharing and benefit win-win between different organizations.The formation and development of value network not only profoundly changes the industrial structure and production mode,but also has an important impact on the innovation mechanism of enterprises.The enterprise innovation under the value network system has become the focus of the academia and the business community.Up to now,the research on the relationship between value network and enterprise innovation has not yet formed sufficient research results to clearly explain the internal mechanism of value network on enterprise innovation,and can not systematically answer the important question of "how value network symbiosis affects enterprise innovation performance".In view of the shortcomings of the existing research,based on the value network theory,enterprise innovation theory and enterprise potential theory,this paper explores the mechanism of the effect of value network symbiosis on enterprise innovation performance.And this paper clarifies the path and boundary conditions of the effect of value network symbiosis on innovation performance.Furthermore,this paper constructs a dual intermediary model with collaborative innovation and independent innovation as intermediary variables and network potential as moderating variables.Through questionnaire survey,347 data from high-tech enterprises in China were collected.And using SPSS24.0 and Amos24.0 statistical analysis tools,this paper conducts descriptive statistics,reliability and validity analysis,correlation analysis,multiple linear regression analysis,as well as simple slope analysis and bootstrap test of moderated mediating effect to test the theoretical hypothesis.On the basis of theoretical analysis and empirical test,this paper draws the following conclusions:(1)Value network symbiosis has a significant positive impact on enterprise innovation performance,that is,embedding value network symbiosis system is conducive to the improvement of enterprise innovation performance.(2)Value network symbiosis not only has a significant direct effect on innovation performance,but also plays an indirect effect on innovation performance through the intermediary role of collaborative innovation and independent innovation.(3)Collaborative innovation and independent innovation play a double intermediary role between value network symbiosis and enterprise innovation performance.In the dual intermediary path of collaborative innovation and independent innovation,the intermediary effect of collaborative innovation is significantly stronger than that of independent innovation.(4)Network potential plays a significant positive role in the two intermediary paths of innovation and independent innovation.Higher network potential is more conducive to collaborative innovation between enterprises and other network members and independent innovation within enterprises.Through further analysis,it is found that the regulating effect of the potential of the lower level network is not significant.On the basis of the above research conclusions,this paper puts forward three management implications:(1)In the face of the rising tide of technological revolution and industrial change,enterprises should re-examine the strategic layout with network thinking,timely adopt modular means to optimize their own organizational structure,enhance their network adaptability and network embeddedness,and expand the development space with the help of value network symbiosis.(2)Enterprises should make full use of the innovation foundation and advantages of value network system,and strengthen the collaborative innovation with other network members.By constantly improving the ability of independent innovation,enterprises realize the innovation leap,and gradually become the leader of value network system innovation activities.(3)Enterprises should constantly pursue the promotion of network potential and enhance the control of network system.Through the breakthrough to the identity of local value network rule designer and system integrator,enterprises lead the optimization and upgrading of local value network,and stimulate the development potential of China's industrial value network.In addition,the main contributions of this paper are as follows: on the one hand,it makes up for the limitations of previous literature on the mechanism of value network symbiosis on enterprise innovation performance.On the other hand,it deepens industrial organization theory and enterprise innovation theory,and provides practical inspiration and guidance for enterprise innovation and development.
