Research On The Influencing Factors Of Export Complexity Of High-tech Industries In The Yangtze River Economic Belt

Making efforts to develop high-tech industries is an important way to achieve high-quality economic development in China.With the implementation of the "Yangtze River Economic Belt" development strategy,the export complexity of high-tech industries in the Yangtze River Economic Belt is also gradually increasing.However,the development status of the export complexity of the provinces and all kinds of high-tech industries in the Yangtze River Economic Belt is different.Based on these,this paper first theoretically analyzes the factors that affect the complexity of exports and conducts empirical research on the high-tech industries in the Yangtze River Economic Belt.Then,this paper draws corresponding conclusions and makes recommendations to promote high-tech industry of the Yangtze River Economic Belt.In this paper,the export complexity model proposed by the predecessors is used to measure the export complexity of various industries and regions in the high-tech industries of the Yangtze River Economic Belt and to compare and analyze the results.On the whole,the export complexity of high-tech industries in the Yangtze River Economic Belt is comparable to that of the whole country.From the perspective of the Yangtze River Economic Belt,the export complexity of high-tech industries in the eastern coastal areas is higher than that of inland areas;From the perspective of the industry,from 2002 to 2018,the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry has a low level of export complexity but the largest increase,and the computer and office equipment manufacturing industry has the highest complexity but a small increase.Based on the current situation analysis and previous studies,this paper expands the "diamond model" proposed by Porter.Meanwhile,this paper selects the corresponding indicators and establishes econometric model to study the samples.The results of the full sample study show that the seven factors that influence the complexity of the export of high-tech industries in the Yangtze River Economic Zone are the Intellectual property rights protection,R&D expenditure,demand status,industrial agglomeration,natural resource endowment,infrastructure level and foreign trade opening.These factors study the influencing factors of the export complexity of the upper,middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River Economic Belt,and various industries.The influencing factors of the upper,middle,and lower reaches of the Yangtze River Economic Belt are: the strength of intellectual property protection,R&D expenditure,and demand;The strength of intellectual property protection,infrastructure level,R&D expenditure,demand status,industrial agglomeration,and degree of openness to foreign trade;Infrastructure level,industrial agglomeration.It can be seen from the regression of the export complexity of the Yangtze River Economic Zone by industry that the influencing factors of the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry are the R&D expenditure of high-tech industries,the proportion of scientific and technological personnel,and the degree of openness to foreign trade.The complexity of the manufacturing export has a significant impact,which has a certain relationship with the difficult technology in the industry;The influencing factors of the electronics and communication equipment manufacturing industry are the protection of intellectual property rights and the level of infrastructure;The influencing factors of the computer and office equipment manufacturing industry are intellectual property rights Protection intensity,infrastructure level,demand status,industrial agglomeration,and degree of openness to foreign trade;the influential factor of the medical equipment and instrumentation manufacturing industry is the demand status.Last but not least,based on the analysis of the results,this paper provides some advice to better promote the increase in the complexity of the export of high-tech industries in the Yangtze River Economic Belt.Moreover,these suggestions can provide some reference for the development of the country's overall high-tech industry.
