Comparative Analysis Of Chinese And American Scientific Research Strength Based On SCI

In 2013,our country's research into total more than Japan,China's scientific research ranks second in the world,become a scientific research spending power in China,however,whether the power of science and technology in China into the world,compared with the developed countries such as the United States what gap,become China's relevant departments has become the concern of many disciplines,scientific research institutions,and more.The United States is the developed country with the largest investment in scientific research.By taking the United States as the comparison object and analyzing the differences in scientific papers between China and the United States,we can understand the advantages and disadvantages of China's scientific research strength and the gap between China and the United States,and find ways to improve our scientific research strength.Most of the current research is based on the data in ESI and Incites database for further analysis,while few scholars directly use the SCI raw data for analysis.Based on this,this paper conducts a comparative analysis of the scientific research strength of China and the United States based on the widely recognized SCI papers.This paper makes a comparison between China and the United States from the perspective of quantity and quality of papers,and makes a specific comparative analysis of the subject of the paper from two perspectives.Firstly,the quantity of domestic papers.By comparing the total number of papers,the number of papers,the growth rate,the number of subjects,the growth rate and the growth rate,the research strength of the two countries was analyzed.It is concluded that the total number of papers in China is less than that in the United States,and the growth in China is stronger than that in the United States.In terms of discipline,the number of scientific and engineering papers in China is large.In the United States,there are a large number of papers on medical and science subjects.In terms of quantity change,only medical subjects have an irregular and obvious increase,while other subjects have no obvious change.In terms of quantity,China is on the rise.Compared with China,the United States is more stable,and the scientific research strength of the United States is slightly stronger than that of China.According to the current changes in the number of papers between the two countries,if the United States does not change its science and technology policy,China has a chance to surpass the United States in the number of papers in the next few years.Secondly,the quality of domestic papers.The paper is analyzed from three aspects: citation frequency,quality division and subject standardization citation influence.In terms of citation frequency,the research strength of China's domestic papers as a whole and in both disciplines is less than that of the United States.In terms of the paper quality division,except for the low-quality division Q6,the number of papers in the United States is larger than that in China,and the research strength of China is smaller than that of the United States.In terms of citation influence,the number of papers cited in China that are higher than the global average fluctuates greatly,while the number of papers cited that are lower than the global average increases year by year.In terms of paper quality,China's scientific research strength is quite different from that of the United States.The research in this paper does not separately analyze China's scientific research strength,but takes the United States as the comparison object.The research conclusion obtained in this way is of more practical significance,which is convenient to clarify the gap between China and developed countries.On the basis of ESI and Incites database,this paper makes full use of the original data of SCI papers.The research is based on the processing of original data,which can better ensure the accuracy of the research.Through the quantity and the quality two angles and carries on the thorough concrete analysis to each discipline,increases the paper the comparison research Angle,may increase the paper the credibility.On the basis of the current research,it is worth your efforts to make a comparative analysis of the scientific research strength in more dimensions such as database and country in the future.
