The Impact Of Supply Chain Integration On Product Innovation Performance

Since the reform and opening up,China's manufacturing enterprises have continued to develop rapidly and have achieved world-renowned achievements.However,we must see the fact that the manufacturing industry is "big but not strong".How to improve the independent innovation capability of manufacturing enterprises and catch up with the world's advanced level is the focus of current research and the difficulty of manufacturing development.In the context of China's transitional economy,the formal institution is constantly establishing and improving.The inadequacy of the formal institution makes the informal institution,such as social trust,supplement or replace the formal institution to play the role of stabilizing society and maintaining market order.From the perspective of supply chain integration,considering the Chinese contexts and based on the survey data of 1,283 Chinese manufacturing enterprises,this thesis focuses on the core issue of how to improve the product innovation performance through supply chain integration in the context of China.This thesis uses the literature research method,statistical analysis method,cross-layer analysis method and comparative analysis method.And this thesis uses STATA data analysis software to conduct the research.The results show that manufacturers' supply chain integration,including supplier integration,customer integration,and internal integration can effectively promote the improvement of enterprise product innovation performance.Internal integration is an effective way to connect external integration and enterprise innovation output,internal integration partial mediation plays a role in the relationship between supplier integration and enterprise product innovation performance,and customer integration also contributes to the internal integration of the enterprise.In addition,the thesis also finds that social trust,as an informal institution,is an important factor affecting the improvement of product innovation performance through supply chain integration in China.In areas with high social trust,manufacturers should focus on strengthening customer integration to maximize the achievement of innovation performance.In areas with low social trust,manufacturers should pay more attention to supplier integration to improve corporate innovation performance.
