Industrial agglomeration refers to the high concentration of the same industry in a specific geographical region, which is a common phenomenon in the process of economic development.Enterprises in the agglomeration area directly or indirectly affect the regional economic growth through the improvement of production efficiency and diffusion effect. In particular, the agglomeration of high-tech industries characterized by highly intensive knowledge and technology can accelerate the upgrading of regional industrial structure, improve regional innovation ability and competitiveness, and exert an impact on the economic development of adjacent regions through the spillover of knowledge and technology. At present, the high-tech industry in the Pearl River Delta has developed into an industrial cluster with the electronic information industry as the main body and the emerging industries such as pharmaceutical manufacturing, aerospace and aviation integrated development.Taking the high technology industry of the Pearl River Delta as the research object, spatial geographical factors are introduced to study the spillover effect of economic growth,it has important theoretical and practical value to get the correct understanding of the present situation and periodic features of high-tech industry development and make reasonable policies of high technology industry development in order to better play to the economic effect of industrial agglomeration.First of all, this paper reviews the theoretical basis of industrial agglomeration, and evaluates the literature on industrial agglomeration promoting regional economic growth. On the basis of theoretical explanation, this paper analyzes the status quo of the cluster development of the whole and subdivided high-tech industry in the Pearl River Delta.Secondly, from the spatial perspective,an appropriate spatial econometric model is constructed based on the weight matrix of economic distance to empirically analyze the cluster of high-tech industries. The research results show that there is a significant spatial autocorrelation in the economic growth of the pearl river delta region,so it is necessary to construct a spatial econometric model for regression analysis to improve the fitting degree. The Pearl River Delta cities' high-tech industrial agglomeration has a certain positive role in promoting economic growth, but the role is weak, has a strong spatial spillover effect on the adjacent regions,it can promote regional information by agglomeration, the free flow of production factors such as personnel, and technology promotion, effectively promote the adjacent regional economic growth;Technological innovation has a positive spatial spillover effect on adjacent regions, but the promotion effect is not enough at present.Labor input and government intervention have a restraining effect on regional economic growth, and it is difficult to promote urban economic development. Finally, according to the empirical analysis results,in order to guide the agglomeration of factor resources and give full play to the spatial spillover effect of high-tech industry agglomeration, the paper puts forward some suggestions, such as concentrating on high-end factor resources to promote the development of industrial agglomeration, enhancing technological innovation capability and changing the direction of technology import, promoting the flow of innovative resources to achieve regional coordinated development, reforming financial support policies and improving financial support system, and so on.
