Research On Factors Influencing China-US Trade Friction

Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the United States,Sino-US trade has experienced three stages of trial and error,rapid growth and tortuous progress.At present,China has become one of the most important trading partners of the United States.However,as the trade volume between the two countries continues to rise,some factors that are not conducive to the development of Sino-US trade are constantly accumulating,resulting in the current status of frequent Sino-US trade.Since Trump took office,China-US trade friction,which has launched a new round against China,has covered almost every industry of Sino-US trade.China-US trade friction has entered a more serious situation.This article uses a combination of qualitative research and quantitative research to analyze the influencing factors of China-US trade friction.First,the article sorts out the trade protection theory and sorts out the theoretical basis of trade friction.Secondly,it combines economic protection,trade and other three aspects to sort out the current status of domestic and foreign research on trade friction.Then,the overview of China-US trade friction,Describe the current situation and characteristics;then.Combining theory and research status,summarize the causes of China-US trade friction in three aspects:the United States,China and Comprehensive;then,empirically analyze the influencing factors of China-US trade friction,and finally,based on the empirical results China-US trade friction put forward corresponding policy suggestions.The study believes that the influencing factors of China-US trade frictions include US GDP growth rate,unemployment rate,industrial growth rate,China's GDP growth rate,RMB real exchange rate,total China-US trade,the proportion of Chinese goods in US imports,China-US trade The difference,the amount of U.S.direct investment in China,the technology gap between China and the United States,whether China has joined the WTO,and China-U.S.Political relations.The empirical results show that the factors that are positively related to China-US trade frictions in order of impact are:US unemployment rate,China-US trade balance growth rate,US industrial value-added growth rate,China-US technology gap,US real GDP growth Rate,the growth rate of U.S.direct investment in China,the real exchange rate of the renminbi,and China's accession to the WTO;the factors that are negatively related to China-US trade friction are the proportion of Chinese goods imported by the United States;the factors that are not related to China-US trade friction are China's real GDP growth rate,China-US trade volume growth rate and China-US political relations;while China's real GDP growth rate,China-US trade volume and China-US political relations are not significantly related to China-US trade friction.Based on the research results,this article puts forward suggestions for resolving China-US trade frictions from four aspects:China-US consultations,wider opening up,regional cooperation and domestic development.
