China is an economic power,in order to occupy an important position in the increasingly fierce international economic competition,we must grasp the core element of innovation,the competition of economic development is essentially the competition of core technology.Innovation efficiency is a comprehensive variable to measure the level of innovation input and output utility of a region,it can measure the level of innovation development in a region to a certain extent;and the innovation environment is the premise and foundation of innovation development,innovation itself and the environment constitute a complete and dynamic regional innovation system.Therefore,research on the impact of innovation environment on innovation efficiency is an indispensable theme for promoting innovation development.In order to deeply study the spatial differentiation of innovation environment in the country and its impact on innovation efficiency.This paper divides the innovation environment into a comprehensive innovation environment and a single innovation environment,builds a regional innovation environment indicator system,uses data on innovation activities in 30 provinces and cities in the country from 2005 to 2017,uses the entropy method to calculate the single innovation environment,and calculate the comprehensive environment of innovation based on the data of a single environment of innovation,and ArcGis and other software are used to study the spatial differentiation of the innovative integrated environment and explore the differences in regional innovation environments across the country;Second,measure regional innovation efficiency based on the DEA-BCC model,and analyze the results by region;Finally,construct a spatial econometric model to study the impact of innovation integrated environment and innovation single environment on innovation efficiency,then provide practical suggestions for optimizing the innovation environment and improving innovation efficiency.The study found that:(1)The overall regional innovation environment in the country presents the overall layout of high in the east and low in the west,the eastern region is superior to the central and western regions and the northeast region,and the environmental level of the northeast region has a significant downward trend.(2)From 2005 to 2012,the eastern region's innovation efficiency was generally better than that of the central and western and northeastern regions,from 2013 to 2017,the western region gradually surpassed the eastern region,showing apattern that the western region is superior to the eastern,central and northeastern regions.(3)The improvement of the integrated environment for innovation is conducive to the formation of industrial agglomeration,which promotes the development of innovation and has a significant positive effect on innovation efficiency;in a single environment of innovation,the financial environment,institutional environment,labor quality and entrepreneurial environment all have a significant positive effect on innovation efficiency,the role of the infrastructure environment is negative but not significant,while the market environment plays a significant negative suppression effect.Based on the conclusions of the paper,the following suggestions are proposed: first,to promote the balanced development of the comprehensive innovation environment in various regions;second,to strengthen financial supervision and optimize the financial environment;third,to promote 5G construction and achieve new breakthroughs in innovative infrastructure environment;fourth,to cultivate "Innovative development,people-oriented" environment;Fifth,Implement innovative preferential policies to improve the entrepreneurial environment;sixth,optimize the market allocation of innovative products,standardize the institutional environment.
