Research On The Evaluation And Spatiotemporal Evolution Of The Interprovincial Economic Development Quality In Eastern China

Over 40 years of reform and opening up,The Chinese economy has entered a new normal phase from the "quantity" growth to the pursuit of "qualitative" improvement.The construction of an economic development quality evaluation index system and effective evaluation is the key focus of promoting the high-quality development of our economy.As the gathering area of population and wealth in China,the eastern region occupies the most important position in China's regional economic structure,and its economic development quality level directly affects the national economy and social development.Since the reform and opening up,its rapid economic development has been at the forefront of the country in terms of economic aggregate,economic structure,and people's living standards.However,in the process of economic development,there are still problems such as irrational industrial structure,large income gap between urban and rural areas,and insufficient investment in environmental protection.And for a long time,due to the relatively developed economy in the eastern region,the differences in the quality of economic development among the provinces(cities)within it have not attracted widespread attention.Therefore,how to optimize the economic structure,transform the mode of economic development to improve the quality of economic development,and narrow the differences in regional development while maintaining economic growth is an important issue facing the further development of the eastern region.Based on the above considerations,on the basis of systematically reviewing the researches on domestic and international economic development quality connotation,measurement methods,influencing factors and economic development in the eastern region,this paper summarizes the deficiencies of existing researches.Secondly,according to the characteristics of economic development(effectiveness,coordination,stability,innovation,sharing and sustainability),the regional economic development quality evaluation index system is constructed,innovatively introduce the health factors of residents into the evaluation index system.The entropy method is used to empirically analyze the economic development quality and its spatiotemporal evolution characteristics of the 10 provinces(cities)in the eastern region from 2010 to 2016.On this basis,from the six dimensions of economic development,this research deeply analyzes the problems existing in the process of economic development in various regions,and puts forward the direction of improvement of future economic development.The main conclusions drawn by the paper are as follows:(1)According to the characteristics of economic development,a more comprehensive regional economic development quality evaluation index system is constructed.Among them,the sharing dimension has the greatest impact on the economic development quality of the eastern region,with a weight of 29.04%,and the innovative dimension has the minimal impact,with a weight of 9.48%.(2)During the economic development of the 10 provinces(cities)in the eastern region from 2010 to 2016,the comprehensive evaluation scores of the economic development quality of various regions showes an upward trend of fluctuations,and the fluctuations of the comprehensive evaluation score rankings are relatively small.The quality of the overall economic development in the eastern region has improved and its development has been relatively stable.(3)In the six dimensions of economic development,the performance of the 10 provinces(cities)in the eastern region is uneven.In terms of effectiveness,the technological innovation capabilities of Hainan Province,Shandong Province and Hebei Province need to be improved.In terms of coordination,the development of tertiary industry in Shandong Province is relatively backward,the level of open economic development is relatively low,and the uncoordinated development of urban and rural areas is more prominent.In terms of stability,the unemployment rate in Shanghai remains high.In terms of innovation,the development of Hainan's scientific research and other fields is relatively lagging,and the investment in scientific and technological innovation is much lower than that in other regions.In terms of sharing,Guangdong 's floating population is huge and its overall quality is low,and its investment in higher education is low.In terms of sustainability,Hebei has a single industrial structure and serious pollution.(4)There are obvious spatial differences in the quality of economic development in the eastern region.According to the comprehensive evaluation score of economic development quality,the 10 provinces(cities)in the eastern region are divided into four types of zones: high-quality economic development zones,relatively high-quality economic development zones,relatively low-quality economic development zones,and low-quality economic development zones.From 2010 to 2016,the proportion of highquality and relatively high-quality economic development regions increases from 30% to 70%,and the overall economy of the eastern region is moving towards a high-quality development stage.The paper has 23 diagrams,13 tables and 111 references.
