After the financial crisis, the global economic recovery has been weak, and consumer demand has shrunk.Various countries have strengthened trade protection.Anti-dumping investigations have become a means of trade protection for countries to protect their domestic markets from abuse. However,China is less affected by the economic crisis, the total export volume and types of exports continue to increase, enterprises have overcapacity, vicious competition between enterprises and government subsidy policies have caused some export products to have prices lower than market prices, and Chinese companies have failed to respond to complaints,so China become a target.Nearly one-quarter of the total number of global anti-dumping investigations is directed against China, and the United States is the country with the largest number of dumping investigations initiated against China except India.Because the rules of anti-dumping investigation procedures in the United States are rigorous and complicated, and many countries have followed the example of the United States, this article takes the United States as an example, based on the theory of anti-dumping trade effects and other theories to carry out the analysis of the impact of US dumping investigations on China's product exports and propose countermeasures.First, using charts to quantitatively analyze the characteristics of US anti-dumping investigations,we found three characteristics of US anti-dumping investigations against China: the total number of investigations against China is larger than that of other countries, the survey industry is widely distributed, and the anti-dumping tax rate is high.Secondly, the internal and external perspectives are used to analyze the reasons for the anti-dumping of the United States against China. Then, the data of the companies and products involved in the US anti-dumping investigation against China from 2000 to 2013 are selected. The DID double difference method, the Probit model and dynamic items are used to empirically analyze the impact of the US anti-dumping investigation on China's product exports. The results of empirical research show that: the United States anti-dumping to China will reduce the export volume of the products involved to the United States, while increasing the export volume of the products involved to the third country, and also reduce the total export volume of China to the United States, that is,there is a trade destruction effect and a trade deflection effect. And trade chilling effect.Among them, the trade effect is the largest after the second year of anti-dumping investigation, that is,it has the greatest impact on product exports.Further research found that after encountering anti-dumping investigations,Chinese companies have trade deflections in the EU,mainly involving metal products, paper products, ceramic products, textiles and machinery. At the same time, the trade deflection of the products involved is also related to the nature of the enterprise.Among the five types of enterprises,trade-oriented enterprises, traditional trade forms,state-owned enterprises, and multi-product enterprises, trade deflection is more likely to occur after encountering the US anti-dumping investigation.Since anti-dumping investigations have a negative impact on the export of China 's products due to trade disruption and trade chilling effects,in order to protect the products of domestic enterprises from the adverse effects of anti-dumping investigations, the government and exporting enterprises are proposed to respond accordingly,so as to Reduce the number of anti-dumping investigations and the losses caused by anti-dumping investigations, and promote Chinese enterprises to gain a better foothold in the international market and continue to maintain peaceful and friendly trade relations with countries around the world...
