In today’s era of trade liberalization context, anti-dumping is originally a punishmentmeasure for unfair world trade competition, such as dumping. But with the development ofeconomic globalization and financial globalization, it has gradually become an effectiveexclusion of foreign import countries to protect the interests of domestic enterprises. In thewave of the World Anti-dumping, chemical products as the essential raw materials ofindustrial production, experience the violent anti-dumping shocks. Therefore, analyze thefactors of anti-dumping in chemical products to avoid the worsening current internationalchemical products anti-dumping has an important practical significance. This paper first describes the study of the impact of anti-dumping factors both in ourcountry and the other countries, and analyzes current status of the world’s chemicalproducts anti-dumping actions. Secondly, the variables are from selected macroeconomicfactors, revenge factor and institutional factors. Then use negative binomial regressionmodels to test the factors which effect anti-dumping investigations and measures. Theempirical results show that exchange rate factors, chemical products exports accounted forthe importing country and the importing country anti-dumping investigation accounted forchemical products are the significant factors for anti-dumping investigations and measuresin the world. Foreign trade dependence on importing chemical products is only essential toanti-dumping measures. Third, the factors of anti-dumping investigation and measures ofchemical products in large countries, such as India, China, the EU and the U.S.A are testedin empirical analysis, and compare the similarities and differences of the four countriesanti-dumping. The empirical results show that the four countries anti-dumping behaviors inbasic chemical products are subject to exchange rate factors, the import rate of chemicalproducts and the ratio of chemical anti-dumping investigations products in totalanti-dumping investigations. The difference is that the employment situation of theimporting country only has a significant impact on developing countries such as India andChina, the ratio of Chinese exports of chemical products in has a unique influence. Fourth, analyze China’s typical cases of anti-dumping in chemical products to assess the effects oftrade remedy. Finally, according to the empirical conclusions, a few instructive suggestionsare made.
