The Influence Of Government Behavior On Regional Innovation Performance

China is gradually entering a new era of innovative driven economic growth,where innovation has become a new fresh force for sound economic development,and then the realization of high-quality development of social economy and the transformation of industrial structure depending on innovation can occur quickly.The government supports the smooth development of regional innovation activities,and governments actively participate in regional innovation and play an important role.This paper explores the impact of supporting behavior from government on regional innovation performance,using the methods of impact mechanism and empirical test,which can deepen the cognition of the mechanism of government support behavior on regional innovation ability,and then make some supplement to the existing theory.The research can provide a reference for government to implement policies more effectively.This research first reviews the domestic and foreign literature on government support behavior,regional innovation performance and the interaction between them,then expounds the current situation of how government behavior drive the regional innovation development.Based on this,the article explores the impact of government supporting behavior on regional innovation performance from both theoretical and empirical aspects.Based on the systematic analysis of the model of government support behavior and the components of regional innovation performance,the paper focuses on the intellectual property protection level,information infrastructure construction and government subsidies to analyze the mechanism of their impact on regional innovation performance.The results of empirical analysis show that government supporting behavior plays a significant role in promoting regional innovation performance.The level of intellectual property protection,information infrastructure construction and government subsidies are all positively related to regional innovation performance.Robustness test and endogenous analysis show that theconclusion is robust.The analysis of the effect of policy combination shows that the combination of government supporting behavior performs more effectively,comparing single government supporting behavior.The analysis of regional difference shows that there is regional heterogeneity in the impact of government supporting behavior on regional innovation performance.The role of government supporting in promoting regional innovation performance is more obvious in the east.
