Research On The Impact Of Global Value Chain Embedding On The Internationalization Of Chinese Enterprises

At present,in the context of the trade disputes between China and the United States,the incident of the United States blocking Huawei has made the Chinese fully realize that Chinese companies still cannot compete with those in developed countries,and many core technologies are still under control of other foreign enterprises.If they want to change this situation,Chinese enterprises need to increase their investment in research and development,master core technologies,continuously increase their competitiveness,and avoid the situation that the product technology is suppressed by other countries.In the era of economic globalization,enterprise internationalization has become an important measure to improve the competitiveness of enterprises.By expanding the international market,enterprises can broaden the channels for acquiring resources such as knowledge and technology,and then digest and absorb effective resources and transform them into their own learning capabilities,form innovative technologies,improve scientific research,accelerate the learning of advanced technologies in the industry and master core technologies,and improve competitiveness.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to explore how to promote the internationalization of Chinese enterprises.However,the existing literature on the factors affecting enterprise internationalization has emphasized qualitative aspects,devoted to finding new influence factors,and focused on theoretical development at the horizontal level.However,in terms of quantitative analysis,there is little research on the impact of the degree of enterprises embedding into the global value chain on enterprise internationalization.At the same time,existing research has focused on the direct impact of the global value chain embedding on enterprise internationalization,without opening the middle black box of the impact mechanism.In this context,this paper,from the perspective of the global value chain embedding,opens up the intermediate mechanism of the global value chain embedding that affects enterprise internationalization,introduces the intermediary factor of knowledge learning,and explores the influence mechanism of the global value chain embedding on enterprise internationalization under the intermediary role of knowledge learning.The main research contents of this article include the following points:1.The literature review and the theoretical basis.This article summarizes and reviews the existing literature on theories of enterprise internationalization,the global value chain,and knowledge learning,establishing a theoretical basis for subsequent research,finding theoretical gaps,and providing theoretical directions.2.The research hypotheses and the theoretical model.On the basis of existing theories,this paper makes innovative breakthroughs,puts forward research hypotheses on the influence mechanism of the global value chain embedding,enterprise internationalization and knowledge learning,conducts in-depth and detailed research and analysis,and constructs a theoretical model of the impact of the global value chain embedding on enterprise internationalization.3.The empirical test.By collecting the micro data of 263 Chinese enterprises,this paper constructs the mediating effect test model and conducts the empirical regression analysis to test the above research hypothesis,and further discusses and analyzes the specific mechanism of the global value chain embedding that affects enterprise internationalization based on the empirical research results.Through the full text research,this paper draws the following research conclusions:1.The global value chain embedding has a positive impact on enterprise internationalization.It is found that the global value chain embedding has a significant positive effect on enterprise internationalization.As enterprises become more embedded in the global value chain,their degree of internationalization will also increase.2.The global value chain embedding has a positive impact on knowledge learning.According to the research,enterprises gain technical knowledge and marketing knowledge by embedding the global value chain,increasing partners and participating in technical alliance and marketing alliance.The deeper a company is embedded in the global value chain,the more technical and marketing knowledge it will acquire.3.Knowledge learning plays an intermediary role between the global value chain embedding and enterprise internationalization.By embedding the global value chain and using the intermediary role of knowledge learning,companies can transform the acquired knowledge resources into their own learning capabilities,so that their competitiveness can be improved,and they can carry out internationalization activities and promote their international expansion better.The above research conclusions have widened the theoretical boundary of the impact of the global value chain embedding on enterprise internationalization to a certain extent,deepened the level of research,and have certain innovative significance.Specifically,the theoretical contributions of this article are as follows:1.Deepened the research level of the factors affecting enterprise internation alization.Previous studies on influencing factors of enterprise internationalization,especially external factors,focused on the qualitative level and emphasized the research on horizontal scope.However,this paper made a new breakthrough in the quantitative aspect.From the perspective of the global value chain embedding,this paper focuses on the vertical degree,quantitatively measures the impact of the specific degree of enterprises' embedding in the global value chain on enterprise internationalization,and deepens the research level of external factors.2.Opening the intermediate mechanism of the impact of the global value chain embedding on enterprise internationalization.This paper finds that most of the previous literature about the impact of the global value chain embedding on enterprise internationalization focuses on the mechanism of direct impact.In this context,this paper introduces the intermediary factors of knowledge learning and explores the intermediate mechanism of the global value chain embedding influencing enterprise internationalization through knowledge learning.At the same time,based on the traditional view of knowledge learning as static resource,this paper further starts from the perspective of dynamic capability,and transforms knowledge learning into the enterprise's capability of knowledge learning,which enriches the theoretical research on the influence mechanism of the global value chain embedding on enterprise internationalization.
