Research On A Clothing Enterprise's Supply Chain Management

In this great era of unprecedented` changes,the supply chain has exerted important influence on the development of enterprises and has been deeply rooted in people's minds.The competition between enterprises is no longer confined to the products and services,supply chain management plays an important role.Taking ‘A' garment enterprise as a case study,this article aims to conduct research on supply chain management of Chinese garment market,find out its disadvantages by analyzing and studying the ever-changing and unpredictable clothing market,in this way bring forward reasonable improvement programmed and thus raise the level of vendor management,to meet the requirement of developing the clothing market to the maximum extent.This article reviews the literature of Supply Chain Management at home and abroad,set out from the basic concept of the supply chain,then analyses the main features and conventional methods of supply chain management.By discussing the basic pattern of garment enterprise supply chain,and learning from internationally renowned apparel suppliers ‘Zara' and ‘UNIQLO',this paper takes an in-depth analysis of the situation of clothing business,and find three typical common problems of ‘A' garment enterprise supply chain management from three perspectives: Inventory management,procurement management and supplier management and the problems are: asymmetric cooperation in market information;Unreasonable procurement process;non-strategic cooperation between enterprises and suppliers.Through the study,it is found that the problem is mainly caused by the following reasons: First,the bullwhip effect has failed to efficiently deal with dealers' frequent transfer of order risks and the orders affected by price fluctuations for the lack of information sharing platform.Second,the idea of safety inventory is deep-rooted and the idea of scale effect is outdated.Third,the organizational structure of the procurement department is unreasonable;Fourth,there is a lack of effective supplier supervision and incentive mechanism in the absence of assessment system and supplier management manual in supplier management Therefore,this article,on the basis of this excavation and analysis of the reasons for the problem,find out proper ways to solve problems,which include the improvement of the management of demand forecasting,the intensification of supplier management,and inventory optimization.Combining the theoretical analysis and empirical research,qualitative and quantitative analysis,using the seasonal forecast change in the law,analytic hierarchy process(AHP)theory and vendor inventory management(VMI)method,this paper concludes with a garment enterprise supply chain management optimization strategies as seen from below.First,in the inventory management,the enterprises elaborate the management concept by classifying dealer' orders and organize distributors at different levels by using different tactics and the data quantified the calculation method of predict index with seasonal variation.Externally,the supplier inventory management model guided by THE VMI theory is constructed.Internally,the process of inventory management of garment finished products is optimized.The inventory management model of ‘A ‘ garment enterprise is optimized by combining the internal and external.Second,in supplier management,the enterprises can take three approaches simultaneously: such as optimizing the working mechanism and organizational structure of supplier management;applying AHP analytic hierarchy process for mathematical modeling to improve the supplier evaluation system;and improving the incentive policies for suppliers and establishing the incentive measures with strong operability.Third,the enterprises can establish external vendor inventory management mode under the theory of VMI,and optimize internal clothing production inventory management.The three methods listed above establish a more comprehensive optimization of Supply Chain Management path of ‘A' garment enterprises.
