Research On The Development Strategy Of Wuhai Hotel Industry Under The Background Of Urban Transformation

Currently,262 resource-based cities in China are undergoing urban transformation and development in accordance with the National Development Strategy.Among them,there are 37 coal cities,accounting for53.6%.Wuhai is a typical resource-based city relying on the development of coal resources.In 2011,Wuhai was listed as the third batch of resource exhausted cities in China.Since then,Wuhai has begun urban transformation.Wuhai municipal government regards tourism as the city's transformation and development strategy.In 2019,it received 3.5423 million tourists and the tourism income reached 8.126 billion yuan,3.2 times and 5.8 times of2011,respectively.Tourism has become the strategic pillar industry of Wuhai's national economy.As one of the three pillar industries of tourism,hotel industry is an important support for tourists to complete their tourism activities,an important indicator of regional reception capacity,and an indispensable part of tourism development.With the rapid development of tourism industry,the requirements and demands of hotel customers have changed,and hotel enterprises have been promoted to carry out self-renewal.Under the external driving force of urban transformation and development,the change of customer requirements and the internal driving force of enterprise self-renewal,how to adapt to the requirements of the times,keep pace with the times,and achieve sustainable and high-quality development,has become an important issue for Wuhai hotel industry Problems to be solved urgently.In this paper,the scope of Wuhai hotel industry is tourism hotels and general hotels in Wuhai City.Through literature review,this paper combs the research results of the relationship between urban transformation and tourism.At the same time,in order to understand the research direction and achievements of the hotel industry at home and abroad,it also combs therelevant literature of hotels.Through on-the-spot investigation,we can master the development situation of Wuhai hotel industry,and have in-depth conversation with government staff,hotel employees and hotel customers to obtain the first-hand information of the research.Through text analysis and category extraction,the factors influencing hotel development are obtained.The external environment of Wuhai hotel industry is analyzed by pest,and the advantages of Wuhai hotel industry are analyzed by SWOT Finally,from the government,hotel,customer three levels to promote the transformation and development strategy of Wuhai hotel industry.This paper studies the development strategy of hotel industry under the background of resource-based city transformation,enriches the academic research on this topic,and provides reference for the development of hotel industry in other resource-based cities.
