| This thesis introduces a new problem solving process that utilizes statistics and different quality tools to solve problems. It includes four stages which include problem discovery and prioritization, problem root cause discovery, maintaining corrected conditions, and optimizing the solution and establishing locks and controls on the new process. The thesis includes an introduction to basic concepts and review of problem solving tools as they apply to statistical problem solving. The author prepared this project to provide a guide for quality professionals involved in problem solving teams. |
