Our investigation was developed in two phases. In the first the objective was to know the teaching problems of P.E. beginner teachers. The instruments that we used were, on the one hand, questionnaires to be answered by the teachers who passed the 94's Entrance Exam in Andalusia in this speciality. On the other hand, we conducted six interviews with beginners from the outskirts of Huelva (Spain).;With these data, we designed a training course for beginner teachers. This course was the central point of the second part of our investigation. The course lasted three months and was divided into three parts. The first one consisted of five theoretical sessions in which an inductive methodology through group discussion was used. The second part was developed by the teachers at their schools. They had to report the proceedings of their sessions. Three of these reports were selected in order to be observed and interviewed. The third phase consisted of three evaluation sessions.;Among the conclusions of the thesis, we highlight on the one hand the necessity of establishing training programmes for beginners when they face conflicting situations in their first teaching experiences. On the other hand, we can list the most significant problems of P.E. teachers: the shortage of facilities and materials, the low status of the subject and the difficulties in organizing and maintaining the discipline. Lastly, among the training strategies that we could use, we emphasize group discussion and the supervision cycles.
