Lean Improvement In The Injection-molding Shop Of A Company

This paper takes the injection workshop of A company as the research subject.The paper describes the basic situation of the injection workshop,including staffing,equipments and production process.The paper makes statistics and calculation about the production capacity,OEE,rate of product achievement and inventory days.The paper analyzes problems and how to solve the problems for the purpose of improving the OEE,variety reach rate and push inventory days down.The main research contents of this paper are:(1)expounding the background and significance of the study,reviewing the development and application of Lean Production and introducing the research status of OEE,production planning and inventory management.(2)describing the basic situation of the injection workshop,analyzing the reasons of the difference between the actual capacity and the theoretical capacity,calculating the OEE,variety rate and inventory days and analyzing the reasons of the gap between the calculation results and the objectives of the company,and fixing the basic idea of the improvements of injection workshop.(3)introducing the improvements of changing mold,abnormal stop,quality,production planning and inventory management.(4)making an evalution of the improvements.OEE and rate of product achievement were promoted to 86% and 90% and inventory days were controlled under 13.2 days.(5)making a conclusion of this paper and proposing an assumption of further studies.This paper proposes the improvements of changing mold,abnormal stop,quality,production planning and inventory management for promoting OEE,rate of product achievement and reducing inventory days.This paper can be used as reference for injection manufacturers to implementing lean production.
