Development Of Water Film Gravure Ink

Water-based gravure printing ink film,mainly used in food and drug packaging box or bag above the water film gravure ink developed in this paper,it is mostly using water as solvent,and then adding a small amount of cosolvent ethanol,in the process of drying and curing the ink,the release of 90% water vapor and a small amount of ethanol and almost no volatile organic gases,almost no direct or indirect harm to environment and human being.Moreover,the price of the solvent is much higher than that of water.Compared with the organic solvent,water is the cheapest solvent.It greatly reduces the cost of ink.Therefore,ink and wash have obvious advantages of low cost.But in recent years,water-based ink,especially water-based film gravure ink basically did not really enter the market,the problem of water-based gravure ink is that the tape on the film fastness is poor,the printing process is not enough drying,bad-flowing.In this paper,the factors affecting the color fastness of gravure printing were studied.The factors affecting the fastness of water borne gravure ink were studied by using different resins,different pigments,different pigments and resin base ratio and different additives.And how to improve the fastness of film gravure ink,so that water-based gravure ink has been widely used.Starting from the aspects of resin,pigment,auxiliary agent and pigment base ratio,a kind of real water film gravure printing ink suitable for film printing is developed.A water-based film gravure ink with a solvent content higher than 70% is reduced to less than 30%,and the amount of alcohol solvent is greatly reduced,and the improved product is more environmentally friendly and has lower cost.(solvent from alcohol:water,=4:1,improved to alcohol: water,=4:6,or 3:7).
