Drilling machining occupying the important status in the field of mechanical manufacturing,especially in the aerospace,high-speed rail cars and precision electronics industry also play an important role.The twist drill is one of the main processing tool in drilling process.With the continuous development of manufacturing industry,the processing quality and precision requirements for twist drill are also getting higher and higher.However,due to the complicated drawing and formula calculation in the production of traditional twist drill,the research and development efficiency is greatly limited.In the actual cutting edge grinding,the shape and installation position of the grinding wheel cannot be well determined,resulting in a lot of errors.Therefore,according to the structure characteristics of twist drill spiral groove,this paper analyzes the key structure parameters of the bit,and establishes a simple and accurate parametric design of twist drill spiral groove and an inverse model of cutting edge grinding wheel.Drilling drilling simulation analysis and experiments to verify this drilling tool performance.The main research contents are as follows:Based on the actual grinding process of spiral grooves of twist drill,the paper analyzes the key structural parameters of spiral grooves of twist drill and constructs simultaneous equations.The section of spiral groove is simplified and the radial section of spiral groove is solved by curve fitting method.The influence of changing the key structural parameters of twist drill on the error of this model is analyzed and verified by comparing with the actual curve of radial section of spiral groove of twist drill.The mathematical model of spiral groove surface was established according to the spatial geometric relation and mathematical method,and the actual grinding mechanism of spiral groove was followed.The position of the grinding wheel blade when grinding the spiral groove was analyzed by using the graphic geometric solution,and the critical motion position of the grinding wheel was deduced.The cylindrical wheel with equal radius is used to replace the grinding wheel and the contact discrete points are obtained by interference analysis.After contacting the disposal area,the optimal contact point was obtained by sorting out the contact discrete points,and then the corresponding cutting shape of grinding wheel was obtained by fitting.The drilling performance of the parameterized twist drill is analyzed by the method of finite element simulation and experiment.Make reasonable single factor experiment plan according to the actual drilling process requirement.With the help of Third Wave Systems Advantedge software,the drilling and machining simulation of custom twist drill Ti-6Al-4V titanium alloywere carried out.Under the condition of single cutting parameters,the data such as drilling force and torque of twist drill were collected.By comparing the simulation values of drilling force and torque with the experimental values under the same cutting experimental conditions,the errors are all within 10%,and the data change trend is consistent,which verifies the feasibility of finite element simulation.The change trend and reason of drilling force and torque are analyzed in combination with each processing condition.Then control the structure parameters of twist drill to carry out the single factor drilling simulation,and compare and analyze the influence of each geometric structure parameters of twist drill on the drilling performance.It provides a reference basis for the reasonable selection of drill geometrical structure parameters.With the aid of GUI function of MATLAB software to twist drill spiral groove parametric design system development and design.The parametric design model of spiral groove structure and the reverse model of grinding wheel profile are called and run accurately.The influence of each structure parameter on the drilling performance is expressed in a data graph to realize the rapid parametric design of the spiral groove structure of twist drill.The system interface is scientifically laid out,and the results are displayed in a graphic way.Finally,the independent packaging of the system is completed to form an independent running parametric design simulation system.
