The boosting for the mode of “Tea + Travel” at Duyun gifts the tippy tea from Duyun both attributes of ordinary commodity and tourist commodity which send forth a rich regional culture at Duyun.It was discovered through the field study that the packaging for the tippy tea from Duyun were generally lack of pleasing appearance or feature for which it expressed no connotation of regional culture that belongs to itself.For the better promotion,the tippy tea from Duyun was in demand of geographical culture as its support to bring the everlasting vitality for the industry of tippy tea from Duyun.The art of regional illustration could effectively convey the information of regional culture in the packaging on a visual dimension by gifting the packaging both aesthetic emotion and artistic culture.This article explores the value of regional illustration reflected in the packaging design of tea by figuring out the concept and function of regional illustration,analyzing the design element of tea packaging,and integrating with case study.It also analyzes the current status of design for the packaging of tippy tea at Duyun with the deep analysis on the structure formation of sales targets for tippy tea from Duyun and suggests the guideline of locality,uniqueness,decoration and artistic quality for the design of regional illustration in the design of packaging for tippy tea from Duyun.In the practice of design for the packaging of tippy tea from Duyun,the final tea packaging of tippy tea from Duyun are in rich of regional features at Duyun with the unique elements of regional culture such as natural landscape,cultural landscape,and national customs at Duyun which are symbolic elements presented in vision and art by the expression of illustrations.The work enhances the artistic and aesthetic value of the packaging for tippy tea from Duyun by the visual information in the illustration with the pursuit of organic and symbiotic relationship between tea and nature,tea and human and enables the consumers to gift the tippy tea from Duyun a distinct mark of regional culture through the perception to the unique flavor of regional culture in Duyun based on the tippy tea from Duyun so that the competitiveness of packaging for tippy tea from Duyun can be enhanced in the market.
