Research On Inclusive Design Of Furniture Products For Elderly People

Due to the rapid development of China's economic society and population aging,the well-being of the elderly population has attracted much attention.Among them,relying on crutches,armrests,wheelchairs and other lifting equipment to assist the elderly,due to the special physical situation,for the functional design of furniture products,use,interaction,man-machine size and other aspects have unique needs.But market research found that the existing furniture for the elderly lack of scientific design theory guidance,to a certain extent,affect the use of the product experience,and too specialized design is easy to hurt the psychological feelings of the elderly.The inclusive design concept plays a positive role in narrowing the differences between social groups and finding commonalities in inclusion.Therefore,in order to draw the psychological distance between the facilitator and the public,the study explored the inclusive design method of furniture products for the facilitator under the guidance of inclusive design concept,and paid attention to the needs of facilitator for furniture products from the physiological and psychological aspects,reflecting the humanistic care of design.This study took furniture products for the elderly as the object.Through sorting out the inclusive design concept and the development status of furniture products for the elderly,the inclusive design thought and design process for furniture products for the elderly were proposed to provide strategic guidance for subsequent research.First of all,based on the survey,interview and data collection,the group characteristics of assisted elderly in physiology,psychology,perception,entertainment,life and other aspects were summarized,the use needs of assisted elderly for furniture were excavated,and the design elements of furniture products for assisted elderly were extracted.Secondly,ergonomics as the design of size specifications,from the standing posture,sitting position of each dimension of the agency to help the elderly size constraints,standardize the agency to help the elderly furniture products man-machine size,so as to ensure the agency to help the elderly furniture design scientific and accuracy;SD method was used to establish inclusive semantic constraints of furniture products for the elderly.Based on the perceptual intention description of furniture products for the elderly,the design semantics of furniture products for the elderly were standardized from two dimensions of man-machine size and design semantics.On this basis,establish a dielectric helpage inclusive design model of furniture products,by reducing demand furniture using ability,improving the capacity of dielectric helpage people supply,reconstruction of furniture and dielectric helpage interaction relationship,enhance the dielectric helpage identity,to realize the inclusive design idea for dielectric helpage furniture product design guidance.Furthermore,under the guidance of the inclusive design model of furniture products for the elderly,the inclusive design strategy for furniture products for the elderly was explored from the perspectives of strengthening the image attributes of furniture products,matching the home use scenarios of furniture products,reorganizing the functional modules of furniture products,shaping the use experience of furniture products,etc.The inclusion evaluation indexes and methods of furniture products for the elderly were proposed to evaluate the inclusion of furniture products for the elderly.Finally,taking the seat design for the elderly as an example,the design practice is carried out,and the inclusive design evaluation of the final product is carried out to verify the feasibility and effectiveness of inclusive design method for furniture products for the elderly.Through the innovative design of furniture products for the elderly,the study improves the elderly's home health life experience,expands the design ideas of furniture products for the elderly,and provides a new method reference for the design and development of related furniture products for the elderly.
