| It is estimated that with the rapid development of China’s economy and the tightening of environmental protection policies,the output of hazardous waste(hazardous waste for short)is about 0.81-107 million tons,and the market size of hazardous waste is up to 100 billion yuan.The industry’s vast market and high profit margins have attracted many new entrants.The hazardous waste treatment market is highly competitive,but there is no absolute leader in size and geography(the top 10 companies in the industry account for less than 7% of the disposal capacity of the market).Founded in 1999,D Company began to operate hazardous waste business in Shenzhen area and was listed in Hong Kong Stock Exchange and A Stock Exchange successively.Based on the research of theories related to enterprise strategy and business development strategy,combined with the actual situation of D Company,this paper puts forward the development strategy of D Company’s hazardous waste business,which provides theoretical support and reference for the company to maintain its leading position in the industry.After more than 20 years of development,D Company,the research object of this paper,has become a leading enterprise in the hazardous waste industry with its total assets and market value reaching 10 billion yuan at present.In the state of high competition in hazardous waste market,this paper analyzes the main problems faced by D company in developing hazardous waste business from the logical train of thought of finding,analyzing and solving problems.Firstly,the internal operating environment of D company’s hazardous waste business is analyzed,and the core competitiveness of D company in hazardous waste business is extracted.Secondly,PEST analysis model and Porter’s five forces model are used to focus on the external macro environment faced by the development of hazardous waste business of the company,including the analysis of political economy,industry environment and competitors.Through the above analysis,this paper proposes that D Company has the key problems of low market share and high disposal cost in the development of hazardous waste business.Center on how to solve these problems,through SWOT analysis,this paper makes clear that D company should implement SO growth strategy in hazardous waste business,and establishes the goal of realizing the operating income of hazardous waste business to increase from 2.7 billion yuan to 3.7 billion yuan in 2025.In order to ensure the achievement of the company’s target of hazardous waste business,D Company has formulated specific implementation strategies from the aspects of acquiring new projects,building new projects and trying new technologies,and formulated detailed guarantee measures from the aspects of capital,talent and strengthening merger and acquisition ability. |
