With the significant improvement of my country’s economic strength and the support of national policies,the share of my country’s large enterprises in the foreign contracted project market has increased year by year.The Kazan Soda Processing Project in Turkey is a large-scale installation project consisting of trona solution mining,soda ore processing,and power station.The total construction period is 44 months.The project has a large amount of construction and a tight schedule,and involves a wide variety of materials and equipment.The storage and use of materials have a great impact on the cost and construction progress of the project.Therefore,it is a good practice to study the storage and transportation of materials in the project.value.In view of this,this paper uses system engineering theory,cost control theory,construction site material management theory and material yard site selection theory,combined with the actual management process of engineering materials during the construction of the Kazan alkali processing project in Turkey.First of all,it analyzes the problem of the arrival time and storage of engineering materials during the construction of the project,and combines the specific project start time and the use of engineering materials to find out the problems in the management of engineering materials.Secondly,according to the principles and methods of logistics site selection,through the construction of the center of gravity model,the optimization plan of the material storage yard site selection is initially screened,and the evaluation and analysis are carried out from the three aspects of transportation cost,space size and road smoothness,using the analytic hierarchy process.Decide on the best location for material storage yard.Finally,according to the construction situation of the alkali processing project,the rationality and feasibility of the site selection of the material storage yard are analyzed,and the effect of the optimized material storage layout is analyzed.The main research conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1)There is a problem of engineering material management confusion during the construction of the alkali processing project.Steel structure materials are the main construction materials.The steel structure materials required by each section will be delivered in advance.The delivery time of the first batch is2~11months earlier than the start time.A large amount of steel structure materials are piled up near the construction site.Have a certain impact on the construction process.The steel structure materials are stacked chaotically during unloading,and some steel structure materials need to be searched and re-transported when used,which wastes time and increases construction costs.(2)After site selection and optimization modeling,temporary material storage yards are established to reduce the amount of idle steel structure materials around each section,while reducing unnecessary material search and secondary handling links,saving a lot of time and cost,and the optimized unloading and reverse transportation costs have saved nearly 1.072 million yuan.At the same time,the optimization plan is feasible.
