The International View Of Historic Towns Protection And Chongqing Practice

Protecting historical and cultural towns is the endogenous requirement of the development of urban at home and abroad,which is of great importance to the continuation of urban context and the promotion of urban sustainable development,Especially in the present practice of new urbanization construction in China,the protection for historical and cultural towns has already been one of the core tasks of new countryside construction.Chongqing,as the second batch of famous historical and cultural cities in China,has rich cultural heritage resources.The special mountainous landform and abundant land and water transportation have created many types of rich and diverse historical and cultural towns.These towns have become the symbol of the culture,civilization and wisdom of people in Ba-Yu region of Chongqing,and also an important witness of Chongqing’s urban development.However,with the rapid development of urbanization today,"Spatial production logic" under the guidance of multiple capital gradually transferred to the ancient towns and become the main cause of a lot of "chaos" in the protection of Chongqing and even ancient towns in China.Dislocations of protection mode and method lead to many negative phenomena and problems that cannot be ignored,such as hasty "vanity projects",commercialized "space reconstruction" and "constructive destruction".At the same time,international theory of historical towns protection has achieved its further deepening and growth,transferring to the direction of integration and sustainability emphasizing the coordination of protection and development,and form a series of experience and ways with great significance for reference.Therefore,this paper,with methods such as field investigation and classified research,systematically analyze the crux and disorder of protection practice on 36 famous historical and cultural towns in Chongqing.It learns from advanced international theories,methods and practical experience,and examines and rethinks the current misunderstanding of Chongqing’s protection work,in order to form localization protection strategies and methods with regionalism and adaptability.The research includes six chapters.Chapter 1 is the introduction.It introduces the research background,object,theory category and related research summary,and it proposes the research method and technical frame on the basis of clarifying the purpose,significance and content of the research,gives the foundation for the orderly discussion of the paper.Chapter 2 is this paper’s main part of theory.On the basis of researching the related important document issued by international organizations,it proposes three key theories:repair theory,value theory and sustainable protection theory,and combined with the international excellent protection practice,the paper explores its theoretical connotation and contemporary development trend.Chapter 3 is the analysis part of characteristics and value of research object.Firstly,it introduces the basic features and distribution characteristics of famous historical and cultural towns in Chongqing.Secondly,it has the classified researches for the famous historical and cultural towns in Chongqing,and based on this,the paper systematically analyzes and concludes the value system of these towns,and provides cognitive basis and judgement basis of “value” in the research below.Chapter 4 is about research and analysis.Firstly,based on field research,the paper divides the protection practice of Chongqing’s history and culture into seven states from existing value and degree of protection and sum it up.Secondly,according to the above content,the paper summarizes the problems and misunderstandings in protection of the famous historical and cultural towns in Chongqing and analyzes the internal and external causes,so as to lay the foundation for the strategy and method of this paper.Chapter 5 is the construction of the strategy and method.Through the summary for the former research,this paper proposes protection and development strategy from integral perspective,cooperation from various ways,and mode innovation,in order to construct diversified and sustainable protection methods.Chapter 6 is the conclusion part.It concludes the main research of the whole paper,and analyses deficiencies to clear the direction of sequential studies,then has the reflection and prospect on the sequential studies.
