| Relying on the advantages of the transportation location where multiple post roads(Beijing-Shaanxi,Qinyuan to Shaanxi,etc.)intersect,Pingyao’s economy developed rapidly during the Ming and Qing Dynasties,and it became China’s "financial center".This article selects Pingyao County in the Ming and Qing Dynasties as the research area,based on the literature in the local chronicles and city maps,and the main line of the Buddhist landscape construction in Pingyao County.Explore the distribution and landscape status of Pingyao Buddhism and Taoism architecture in the Ming and Qing Dynasties with four aspects: the distribution characteristics of Buddhist architecture,the path exploration of landscape construction,and the participation of Buddhist architecture in the overall landscape.First,this article describes the historical background of the development of Pingyao Buddhist architecture in the Ming and Qing Dynasties,discusses the basic conditions of urban construction such as construction history,economic development,and regional transportation,and further explores the historical background of regional finance,cultural beliefs,and official will environment.The investigation revealed the inherent advantages and powerful external motivation of the development of Pingyao Buddhism and Taoism architecture.Then,discuss the formation process of Pingyao’s urban spatial pattern.In the early days,Pingyao City shifted from an urban structure centered on county government to a highly strengthened,complex and relatively loose central urban space composed of county government,official sacrifice,culture,education,and Taoism.form.The compound and loose center was gradually formed after the extension of the city in the early Ming Dynasty,and the spatial structure was strengthened in the Qing Dynasty.Afterwards,we discuss the distribution of Buddhism and Taoism in the whole region,and explain the distribution characteristics to provide a basis for the analysis of the status of Buddhism and Taoism.Secondly,it is clear from the national and local bibliographic records that the actual differences between the official assumptions and actual construction are reflected in the bibliographic records.Pingyao’s related bibliographic records can be corroborated accordingly.Therefore,special emphasis should be placed on social economic activities and landscape status This relationship has a certain innovative theory and is also combined with Kevin Lynch ’s theory.At the end of this chapter,it is clear from the perspective of social and economic activities to explore the route of landscape status judgment,which is provided for the study of the Pingyao Buddhism and Taoism architecture landscape status in the clear period ideas.Once again,the urban construction elements under the Pingyao compound urban spatial pattern will be analyzed first,including administration,culture,education,official sacrifice,commercial building distribution in Pingyao County,and the spatial relationship with Buddhist and Taoist buildings.Combined with the social and economic activities,from the relationship between the architectural conditions of the Buddhism and Taoism architecture,the central elements,the main passages,the gathering of people,and the singular points of the terrain,the role of Buddhism and Taoism architecture in Pingyao city as a regional landscape is analyzed.Finally,it summarizes the status and distribution characteristics of Pingyao Buddhism and Taoism architecture in the Ming and Qing Dynasties,in order to provide some reference for the research of related urban Buddhist architecture and ancient urban landscape construction. |
