The construction industry is an important means of production of various material production departments and transportation departments of the national economy,and is also an important material basis for people’s lives.It is related to the economic development of the entire country and the improvement of people’s lives.Since 2016,China’s economic development has entered a new normal.The growth rate gradually slowed down.The structure has been optimized and upgraded.The driving force has begun to change from investment-driven to innovation-driven.It faces an important period of strategic opportunities.In this case,the construction industry must improve its own management level,introduce advanced science and technology and management methods into actual management,reasonably and effectively control construction costs,improve the production efficiency and profitability of enterprises,and compete fiercely.Stand firm in the middle.The footsteps of the competitive environment are developing rapidly.As the modernization of the construction industry improves,its informatization characteristics become more and more obvious.As an important manifestation of the construction industry informatization,BIM technology will have a revolutionary impact on the production model in the construction field.The traditional construction project cost control method can no longer cope with the current complex situation of the construction industry.It is imperative to introduce BIM into construction projects to achieve refined management of project costs,give play to BIM’s comprehensive management capabilities,and ensure project profits.Firstly,this paper introduces the BIM related theory and BIM software commonly used at home and abroad,illustrates the concept,content,principle of cost control and the shortcomings of traditional cost control methods,and analyzes the advantages of BIM application in cost control of construction projects.Combining with the shortcomings of cost control at present,BIM is introduced into the implementation stage of construction project: Navis Works is used in the design stage Manage conducts collision inspection,finds design errors in advance,optimizes the design scheme,and avoids rework and construction period cost loss caused by design errors in the later stage;in the bidding stage,BIM quantity calculation software is used to accurately calculate the quantities,so as to ensure reasonable quotation in the bidding stage,and eliminate unit price loss caused by the change of square meter content in the bidding list and the actual quantity list,so as to realize the project budget During the construction preparation stage,simulate and check the site layout before construction,optimize the site layout,ensure the project duration and control the project cost.Carry out construction disclosure through BIM visualization function,avoid material waste,bring standard practices to the site,and put an end to potential construction hazards on site;construction stage: generate bim5 d information management platform based on project time and cost information,realize dynamic control of the whole process of the project,define material demand in each time period,reasonably purchase and allocate resources,and optimize masonry structure.Through the5 D management platform,the cost and progress of the project are controlled in real time,and corrective measures are formulated in time in case of any deviation,so as to ensure the profit of the project;at the completion settlement stage,the 5D management platform is used to completely record the complicated project change data generated in the construction process,so as to make the claim reasonable and reasonable,and optimize the project change management.The dynamic management of the whole process in the project implementation phase is realized,which solves the disadvantages of poor information sharing effect,untimely data analysis and inaccurate calculation of engineering quantity under the traditional mode.Carry out design optimization,site layout optimization,accurate calculation,resource optimization,cost control,schedule control and engineering change optimization for the project,ensure the completion of the project on schedule,effectively control the construction cost,improve the economic benefits of the enterprise,and ensure the rapid and stable development of the construction industry.
