| In recent years,with the upgrading of urban industry,and the rearrangement of urban planning,especially under the influence of prevailing concepts like “retreating to tertiary industry”,“eco-restoring & environmental remediation” and “housing stock planning”,a large number of old urban areas have been rebuilt and innovated,among which renewal of the old industrial building is the major practice.As a kind of cultural and historical landscape,those deserted industrial buildings are of great value.While from the perspective of building an energy-intensive society,upgrading those old buildings into environmental-friendly facilities is in conformity with the current social trend.This thesis is about an on-going project,belonging to “Green Building Research Center of Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology(XUAT)”.Through survey research,comparative study,empirical study and comprehensive study,it deductively examines the major procedures in the project architectural design and challenges in project construction drawing design.Firstly,an overall introduction to the project is given,demonstrating the existing problems of the old heating center.Accordingly,major challenges are pointed out in the rebuilding work and based on the project orientation,a detailed plan is proposed to demolish,rebuild,and build of the old center.Meanwhile,by analyzing the rebuilding strategies and the site conditions,a green building application plan is recommended,which combines active energy-saving strategies and the passive ones.Furthermore,a summarize is included to introduce the current studies on the exterior wall features,model selection,floor,ceiling,roof materials,integrated designs and energy-saving designs in Green Building Research Center of XUAT.Also,green building technologies applied in the project are explained.This thesis focuses on the in-depth analysis about outline of the building construction design,and new design explorations in terms of the material,structure,construction and energy saving practices,which comprehensively highlights the material features and at the same time meets the prerequisite requirement.It is expected that after the rebuilding work,this project would realize the practical functions and also represent the nation-wide leading designing and technology,which features in effective construction,energy-saving and environmental friendliness.The old heating center would finally be turned into an exemplary green building research and learning center.Hopefully,the designing ideas and construction experience mentioned in this thesis would inspire more practice in rebuilding the old industrial buildings and as reference for similar projects. |
