The development of today’s social cities is always in a process of constant renewal,and in the process of urban development,the new face of modern cities and traditional architectural images intersect,and the historical and cultural neighborhoods as the most important historical and cultural carrier of the city,its traditional pattern,local style,localized living environment,rich historical resources are left to the city’s valuable wealth.However,the renewal of the old city in the early period of our country almost always adopts the traditional large-scale transformation method,which causes the urban problem to be slowly presented over time.As a spatial place where local citizens and foreign population activities are most frequent,the historical and cultural district has a certain uniqueness and complexity,and its renewal and development has received more and more attention.How to complete the high-efficiency and high-quality renewal under the condition of the existing urban stock space has become an important subject of the renewal of the historical and cultural neighborhoods of modern cities.Based on the background of the protection of historical and cultural cities and historical and cultural blocks,the renewal and development of cities,and the application of GIS technology,this article sorts out and summarizes historical and cultural blocks protection,urban renewal theory and related theoretical research of GIS;through data collection and field investigation,Use GIS technology to establish a spatial database of historical and cultural blocks,comprehensively evaluate historical and cultural values from three aspects:buildings,streets and districts,and divide different micro-update areas according to protection and importance,from macro,meso,and micro aspects Separate control and guidance.Next,take 3 historical and cultural blocks in Baoding as an example,analyze the historical and cultural value of each element in the historical and cultural blocks based on GIS technology,and use this as the basis for micro-renewal.The micro-update is explained from the three levels of macro,meso,and micro.Select the micro level to guide the micro-renewal planning of historical and cultural blocks,and try to explore a more rational micro-renewal planning method for historical and cultural blocks.Through the comprehensive evaluation of the historical and cultural value of historical and cultural blocks in Baoding City,this paper can systematically understand the current situation of historical and cultural blocks,and divide them into "core protection","core micro-renewal",and"important micro-renewal" according to their importance."Class" and"general micro-update" can classify and guide different categories from three levels:macro,meso,and micro.Secondly,the article aims at the comprehensive evaluation of the historical and cultural value of the buildings,streets and districts in the historical and cultural blocks of Baoding City,finds out the problems in the blocks,and proposes solutions for protection,repair,renovation and utilization,so that the renewal planning activities are more rational and effective.sequence.Finally,the article summarizes the micro-renewal methods of historical and cultural blocks based on the above analysis and research,and proposes the changes in planning ideas,methods,roles and policies in the protection and renewal of historical and cultural blocks,making planning and development more diversified and updating methods To be more complete,adopt the concept that is in line with the development of the block itself,carry out small-scale,planned renewal and development,balance the relationship between protection and development,improve financial support policies,and allow different roles to participate in the renewal of the city,thereby promoting history and culture Protection and development of neighborhoods.This article hopes to provide a useful supplement to improve the protection and renewal of historical and cultural blocks,and to improve the spatial quality of historical and cultural blocks.Due to its own level,the current research still has many shortcomings,and further study and exploration are needed.
