Micro-renewal Design Of The Lost Spaces Of The Historical And Cultural District

The historical and cultural block is an important material carrier of urban history and culture,an important aspect of human cultural inheritance and innovation,an indispensable and important place in the urban environment,the crystallization of regional humanities and natural terroir,and an important part of the country’s comprehensive competitiveness,reflecting the development process and cultural context of the city.With the development of cities and social progress,the protection and development of historical and cultural neighborhoods have received widespread attention.However,in recent years,historical and cultural blocks have gradually seen the phenomenon of lost space and cultural lack.In this context,the renovation of historical and cultural blocks has gradually emerged,and the renewal method has also shifted from the original large-scale demolition and construction to smallscale and gradual micro-renewal.Under the principle of the most preservation and the least change,the renewal of the historical and cultural block pays more attention to the continuation of the historical context and traditional culture of the block,the shaping of local characteristics and the reproduction of the vitality of the block,and the historical and cultural block has gradually formed a popular science education base.Taking wuxi Qingmingqiao historical and cultural block as the research object,this paper considers and explores the lost space of optimizing the historical and cultural block from the perspective of landscape design,and activates and updates it in the form of micro-update,so as to establish a diversified protection mechanism,explore the all-element fine planning and design of multi-departmental collaborative management,and realize the improvement of the environmental quality of the block.First of all,the historical background of the micro-renewal of the historical and cultural district is introduced,the main research scope and content are clarified,and the research progress at home and abroad is sorted out and summarized,the research methods are proposed and the overall framework of the paper is sorted out.Secondly,the relevant theoretical basis of historical and cultural blocks,lost spaces and micro-renewal is analyzed,and the significance of microupdates to the lost spaces of historical and cultural blocks is summarized,which paves the way for follow-up research content.Thirdly,based on the conceptual construction and principles of the historical and cultural block,combined with the case analysis of the micro-renewal of the lost space in the historical and cultural block,the overall and targeted renewal strategy is proposed.Then,the field research of Wuxi Qingmingqiao Historical and Cultural Block was conducted to understand the process of neighborhood protection and renewal,sort out the history and current situation of the neighborhood,and extract the lost space.Finally,based on the above theoretical research and induction,the micro-renewal design practice of the lost space of the historical and cultural block is carried out,which tries to solve the phenomenon of the lost space in the current historical and cultural block,and explores a sustainable development path for the renovation design of the lost space of the same type of historical and cultural block.
