The quality of steel bar protective coating is an important part that restricts the construction quality of cast-in-place concrete structure engineering.Confronting increasingly complex architectural forms,difficulties in construction,an abundance of workers,and short working periods,etc.,it is difficult to satisfy the project construction process’ s demand through traditional management method which encounters larger challenges in quality control.Therefore,improving the quality control level and achieving high-quality production is a problem to be solved now.Taking residential buildings as the research object and quality of steel bar protective coating as the starting point,we investigate the main factors affecting the quality of protective coating through the questionnaire,then choose key factors by adopting the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP)and the entropy method.Secondly,based on a commercial project in Urumqi,we compile Building Information Modeling(BIM)technology quality control scheme and construct the control process of each key factor;meanwhile,we elaborate the control of BIM Technology on crucial factors in the construction process,then analyze control effect.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1)Through questionnaire research,we summarize 15 main factors influencing construction quality of steel bar protective coating;then choose 5 key factors by using AHP and the entropy method(the sum of weights exceeds 50%);the priority of the critical control factors is the position of steel bar,quality of support system,quality of formwork assembly,size of steel bar,specification of steel bar;(2)Based on the model coordinate conversion developed by Revit software,we convert the model coordinates into construction coordinates.With the Intellective Total Station mobile terminal’s help,“BIM+ Intellective Total Station” can control steel bars’ position.With the help of the process library tools of the information platform,we check the on-site situation at the mobile terminal to realize the quality control of BIM;The quality control of steel bar size and specification is reached by bringing the model to the construction site through enhanced Artificial Reality(AR)technology,which realizes the “ BIM+AR ” control of steel bar size and specification.According to the statistics of the quality information platform,after applying BIM technology control,the qualified rate of protective coating is increased from 88% to 92.5% for the board,from 89.5% to 95.5% for the beam,and from 89% to 94% for the cantilever beam.Therefore,it can be seen that BIM technology has a significant effect on the control of the quality of steel bar protective coating;(3)During concrete structure engineering,we carry out the risk judgment of formwork through construction BIM,and no tall formwork appears.We also carry out stiffness and stability checking of the support system,which meets relevant codes’ requirements.Based on Revit software,we develop a temperature monitoring module for mass concrete.Applicable data shows that the highest temperature of the concrete surface is 55℃,the peak temperature inside appeared after 1d after concrete pouring,which is 60.5 ℃,then the temperature gradually stabilize and maintain in 31-33℃.Temperature changing rate and the temperature difference between inside and outside can satisfy the requirements of temperature control,and the template is dismantled with no harmful cracks,which can reveal the effectiveness of BIM technology on the reinforced concrete engineering quality control;(4)In the construction quality control of the commercial project in Urumqi,“BIM+Intellective Total Station +AR” technology reduced 81% of the steel bar project’s quality defects and the process library tools of the information platform reduced 83% of the quality problems of the formwork project.BIM technology improves the overall construction quality,reduces the impact of human factors on the construction quality,improves construction quality control,and better achieves the construction quality objectives.
