Product appearance is the most immediate embodiment of product perception characteristics which faces to users’ needs,a significant factor in users’ purchasing decision.How to get the key of users’ Kansei needs for product and enhance product Kansei quality to satisfy users’ Kansei needs most become enterprises’important objectives.For the insufficient of traditional Kansei evaluation and design optimization of product appearance,this paper,taking smartphone as an example,carries out relative research based on Kansei Engineering and Grey Relatonal Analysis with consideration of multi-dimentional Kansei image.And main research includes some parts as follows:(1)Smartphone appearance design variables and levels are extracted by implementing appearance deconstruction from multi-dimensions of product shape,color and texture based on HIEs,then representative smartphones are acquired by Cluster Analysis.After user Kansei evaluation data is collected by the product appearance Kansei evaluation semantic difference scale,smarphone appearance Kansei dimensions are extracted by Project and Factor Analysis.(2)Research on key design variables extraction method and application of product appearance based on eye movement technology:First,divide the AOIs in the smartphone appearance;Second,representative smartphone as stimulus materials to design eye movement experiment procedure,then invite participants;At last,select eye movement index through literature research,and extract key design variables based on Entropy Weight.Key design variables are combined by orthogonal design,then screen representive and design product appearance prototype.(3)Research on Kansei evaluation method and application of product appearance based on Grey Relational Analysis:First,construct the objective measurement model of Kansei evaluation index;Second,on the basis of that,construct the Kansei evaluation model of product appearance based on Grey Relational Analysis;Third,take smartphone appearance prototype as stimulus materials to carry out objective and subjective experiment research respectively;At last,relative models are verified by researching smartphones.(4)Research on Kansei design optimization method and application of product appearance based on Grey Relational Analysis:First,construct the prediction model of Kansei evaluation index,on the basis of which,construct the Kansei satisfaction prediction model;Second,construct the Kansei design optimization model of product appearance based on Grey Relational Analysis;Third,design the integration algorithm of Kansei design optimization for product appearance;At last,relative models are verified by researching smartphones.The research achievement in this paper is good supplement and important expansion for Kansei Engineering in the application research of product appearance design,which not only does provides important technique supporting for Kansei evaluation and design optimization of product appearance,but also provides the reference and assistance for designers in the process of product appearance design.So,the proposed method possesses favorable application value and foreground.
