| With the aging of society becoming more serious and the number of elderly care institutions gradually increasing,elderly care institutions are playing an indispensable role in today’s aging society.The indoor environment in elderly care institutions determines the quality of life of the elderly,while most of the elderly care institutions in China are mainly functional and practical,and their interior decoration is simply designed to meet the needs of daily life.This paper analyzes elderly care institutions from the psychological needs and behavioral characteristics of the elderly,summarizes the indoor space design methods of elderly care institutions through a variety of research methods,and provides suitable theoretical suggestions for the elderly to live safely and comfortably in the institutions,so as to make up for the deficiencies in this respect in a targeted manner.This paper takes the behavioral and psychological needs of the elderly as an entry point.First of all,this paper summarizes the psychological characteristics and needs of the elderly,their behavioral characteristics and the needs of behavioral activities of the elderly under different nursing levels.Secondly,to sum up,this paper proposes the principles and methods of interior space design for elderly care institutions that meet the behavioral and psychological needs of the elderly,including site selection layout,division of architectural space structure,division of functional areas,and ventilation and lighting.Finally,this paper takes the case analysis of behavioral and psychological needs in elderly care institutions as a reference,conducts design practice,and expounds the feasibility and practical significance of this view.Through the above research,it is hoped to provide new viewpoints and ideas for the interior environment design of elderly care institutions,create a more satisfactory living environment for the elderly from the perspective of behavioral and psychological needs,and build a more complete and specific interior space for the elderly. |
