This paper analyzes and studies the increasingly growing architectural images under the influence of visual culture and media based on the understanding of "the era of photo-reading".It explores the historical background and the influence on the rise of visual culture under the architectural development.Besides,it analyzes the practice process of "Drawing Architecture Studio" from two aspects of "Drawing" and "Construction" combined with the image exploration experience,which is the most consistent architectural image practitioner at present,thus conducting an in-depth study on the era characteristics on architectural images.This paper analyzes the development route of "Drawing Architecture Studio" in different periods based on the development course.Then it clarifies the reasons and significance on the use of images which acting as a practical weapon through the characteristics of urban research,narrative images,folk construction focus,mutual translation of architectural theories and the constructive transformation.Moreover,it analyzes the relationship between the relevant architectural images with contemporary art,as well as the diversity of the architectural practice under the background of the times with the contemporary media communication and visual culture.Finally,it explores the significance and influence of architectural practice under the background of the era of photo-reading,the communication characteristics,realistic characteristics,consumption characteristics of the "Drawing Architecture Studio".Therefore,it summarizes a practice line belonging to contemporary architects for broadening the boundary for the future architectural development.
