Research On Renovation Design Of Dangerous Old Traditional Houses In Mentougou District

Traditional residential architecture truly records the historical process of social,cultural and economic development and interpretation of the region in different periods,and is the crystallization of "group experience" adjusted and modified by traditional artisans in China for a long time,showing unique regional and national characteristics.Since the economic reform and opening up,China has achieved significant socio-economic growth.The striking gap between urban and rural incomes has been a long-standing problem in this process,and the phenomenon of "hollowing out" of China’s rural areas has intensified.Due to the urbanization of young and middle-aged people in rural areas,a large number of traditional houses have been left unrepaired for a long time.The lack of management,repair and protection measures during the long process of "natural destruction" of traditional dwellings has led to a yearly increase in the vacancy rate of houses,resulting in a large number of dilapidated houses,which seriously affects the safety of the occupants.In this context,the residents of traditional villages in Mentougou District are in urgent need of housing safety,improvement of living environment and conversion of traditional living patterns.At the same time,the local traditional dwellings’ independent transformation lacks professional architectural guidance and technical control,the traditional architectural forms and building materials are gradually modernized,and the architectural style of the traditional dwellings is somewhat destructively affected.Through in-depth research of 14 traditional villages in Mentougou District,the thesis selected 8 traditional villages with typical representatives for more detailed and in-depth investigation and architectural mapping,comprehensively sorted out and summarized the architectural characteristics of local traditional dwellings and affirmed their traditional dwelling architectural values.By discussing the current problems of local traditional dwellings in terms of architectural quality,architectural style and architectural comfort,the thesis summarizes the main influencing factors for the renovation of dilapidated traditional dwellings in Mentougou District,and thus puts forward the renovation design principles.On this basis,the thesis proposes appropriate technical measures and design strategies for the renovation design of the dilapidated traditional houses in Mentougou District from three aspects of architectural quality,architectural style and architectural comfort,respectively,in order to improve the housing safety and comfort of the living environment of the local traditional houses with good economic benefits and to continue the architectural style of the traditional houses.The thesis is divided into six main chapters.The first chapter is the introductory part,which mainly presents the research background of the thesis,and clarifies the research purpose and significance of the thesis through the study of relevant theories in China and abroad.The second chapter analyzes the architectural features of local traditional dwelling houses in detail and it also put forward the current situation of the traditional dwelling houses from three aspects,which are building quality,architectural style and the comfort for residence through the in-depth investigation of the traditional villages in Mentougou Distric.The third chapter shows the design principles for the reconstruction of the local dilapidated traditional dwelling houses based on summarizing the main elements which influenced the reconstruction of the local dilapidated traditional dwelling houses in Mentougou District.The fourth chapter begins with the building safety,the thesis puts forward load-bearing structure enclosure structure and the common problems of the foundation.And it also talk about the corresponding reinforcement technical measures.The fifth chapter begins with the architectural style.Through studying the four aspects of traditional residential:architectural colors,architectural materials,architectural decoration elements and the living facilities,it puts forward the design strategies and methods to control the traditional architectural styles,which can be used in the remodeled designs of the dilapidated traditional dwelling houses in Mentougou District.The last chapter begins with the comfort for residence,it proposed the corresponding renovation design strategies from three aspects: the interior space reconstruction design of traditional dwelling houses,improving the comfort of building interior environment and creating a safe environment for dwelling houses.
